I shouldn't really gloat because Palace should have had the game won before the toffees equaliser, but it's nice to get a win against the tide now and then.

Palace lined up with almost the same side who lost to Everton 2-1 at SP back in February ( 8 of the starting 11 plus 2 who came on as subs). It has been a bit of a mystery how since then they have morphed in to a very decent side. It must be due to the manager, his tactics and getting the most from his players whilst instilling the utmost confidence in them. They will go on again from here i am sure.

I did state on a couple of threads that Everton had an unbelievable recent record against Palace - they have now only lost ONCE in their last 22 EPL meetings with them, won 13 and drawn 8.

tongue in cheek comment  - it was nice to see the "hugely overrated" Jack Grealish get the winner, even if it was a tad fortunate Grin

Ref thought it was a pen, VAR thought it was a pen, players put up bare minimal protest, is the long and short of it.

Anderson made zero contact with the ball, highlights on youtube already, you can clearly see he completely missed the ball and made contact with Bruno's foot, Bruno's foot then made contact with the ball but he was taken down by Anderson's other leg for good measure. Anderson barely appealed, did that thing players do when they know they've given a pen away, pretend they're hurt. Other Forest players didn't appeal either. Strange looking pen though, almost like he chipped it but at pace into the corner. Kind Regards.

The slowmo replay on my 4K TV clearly showed a stud on the Forest player's boot make the slightest of contacts with the ball before he took Bruno G out.

It quite likely the Forest player didn't know he made the faintest of contact with the ball. That would explain the lack of a protest.

But if we follow the latest interpenetration of the law it's no foul and no penalty.
