cheers slippy. unless you had backed it pre match, you woul'd've struggled to get on as they took a good 5 minutes to put it in play. Still, 2.48 wiil do.

Kerkez is a huge weakness that Arsenal should have exploited!

I would imagine most teams will now hit long past his far post. A complete mismatch in the air and no doubt vulnerable on the ground too. Robertson is a good footballer
Report SlippyBlue September 14, 2025 2:52 PM BST
Ah okay. Once I looked it was approaching 2.0 so I had missed the boat by then.
Report mesmerised September 14, 2025 2:52 PM BST
I never understood why Robertson needed replacing, didn't hear any Liverpool fan complaining about him, even heard one pundit calling Kerkez an upgrade, only upgrade is his youth.
Report Whisperingdeath September 14, 2025 2:57 PM BST
True!

I cannot see Areta making a decision like that.

I could and did see him take off the only centre forward in the club
Report mesmerised September 14, 2025 2:57 PM BST
Burnley currently on just 50 passes in 45 minutes of football just over 1 pass a minute ffs, could beat Forest's low record of 85 passes 2 years ago also against Liverpool
Report Crisp77 September 14, 2025 2:58 PM BST
Maybe Slot doesn’t have the ability to manage an experienced successful pro like Robertson so he replaced him with a youngster.
Report Des Pond September 14, 2025 3:01 PM BST
Slot was explaining to kerkes why he was getting hooked. And Kerkes just looked at him dumbly. He obviously doesn't understand what Slot wants him to do. Don't think he has much of a future at Anfield, tbh.
Report Crisp77 September 14, 2025 3:03 PM BST
Agreed Des. If he doesn’t win the league again they’ll beg Klopp to return.

Robertson still a better defender and just as good going forward

I wonder how much Clough would have fined Ekitike for that daft, curly blonde barnet
Report Des Pond September 14, 2025 3:08 PM BST
Personally I think it was more about the poor performance than the booking, although the yellow obv didn't do his cause much good either.

Report duffy September 14, 2025 3:37 PM BST
Said this before, unless you're Barca circa 2012 or the crrent PSG side, breaking down an organized 10 man defence is nigh on impossible, you've got to be an exceptional quick passing team, all through City's dominant years they never did it, they just dominated possession and ground sides down just like Liverpool are having to do here.

I remember whenever United lost a game 12 or so years ago they'd be dozens and dozens of threads laughing at them, now there be one as it's expected, as there's less people

The year they got knocked out the CL by Real Madrid there was literally over 100, every thread on the main page was swept off the board onto page 2, think it was the game Nani was sent off in, how times change, more fool me though for thinking they may get 4th this year, only chance of that based on the first 4 games I've seen is if they give this chancer Amorim his p45 and bring in Zidane. Kind Regards.

November innit..unless he walks which he won't..(why would you when you'll probably never get a payday like it..)

game like today is not even that big a deal in the big picture...losing at home to Brighton on the 25th Oct could do it..depending on results inbetween..

I suppose losses to Chelsea and Brentford could but only if performances are dreadful..
Report mesmerised September 14, 2025 6:53 PM BST

thanks, he's wedded to one way and one system, he even looks like he wants out, I'd cut losses and go all out for Zidane, would need a translator however, as far as I understand, he can't speak a lick of English, but can't think of anyone else currently available.
Report brentford September 14, 2025 7:04 PM BST
Not sure why he'd want the job tbh..Citeh will be available in a year or two likely (either with success or lack of)...

would cost a fortune for a club still using credit massively which is short term sustainable but not indefinitely..Zidane's pedigree is with players who won CL's not mid table 5th or 6th @ best if you got the very best out of them..

Glasner continues to make a very similar system work btw..
