most of our football stadiums are in a poor state of repair and need a hell of a lot of investment.
spurs, gooners and west ham are ahead of the game but most other clubs seriously need to invest in their stadiums.
everton move into their brand new stadium this season.....

Arsenal's stadium kinda outdated already, would easily fill 80,000, it's not multi purpose either.
Don't know why thought it hasn't been selected as a European final host given it's nearly 20 years old now, not selected for the Euro 2028 stadia list either, strange. I'd rip it up and start again. Kind Regards. |

Newcastle need an upgrade.
Can't build where we are due to listed building beside ground. Need to move next door or new home 52k needs to be 65-70+ |

Ethiad is hardly ancient, Anfield has been developed..not sure which countries you are comparing to barring obvs massive teams like Madrid Bayern and Barca...
Brentford and Brighton both have very decent modern stadiums appropriate to their size, Bournemouth are in the process of plans for a new one I think.. |

More clubs in the same city should share stadiums to save costs and build a huge stadium more efficiently. For example Everton could have built a half red and half blue stadium and only have half the debt.

Sheffield Wednesdays North Stand will not open this season as the roof is falling to bits and would fall onto supporters below. It isn't getting mended any time soon either as players manager and staff have left after not being paid for months and the club owes millions to HMIC and others. They have cancelled friendlies and may not play in the first championship game.

I read today that the reason why Arsenal have not been selected for Euro 2028 or ever had a European final, is because they area is too difficult for parking for all the UEFA delegates, fat cats and big wigs FFS. Kind Regards.

Most non premier league clubs could get away with a 30,000 capacity off the shelf stadium .
There's plenty of money in football it just a question of taxing the big clubs, or maybe adopting a club |

Wembley - crap in every way - was there for the boxing the other day, blue badge holder so received nearby parking and that ok but poor traffic from 2-3 miles away which was all down to 1 set of traffic lights! Decent seat, only okish viewing but couldn't hear a thing being said - not even the 'getting ready to rumble' bit!. Badly designed in every way and already way out of date before the designs were in.

Sound was carp at Wembley at cup final.
Music was OK, but spoken word dreadful. Easy to get to, nightmare getting out, transport chaos I was well back but enjoyed the view. |

I've been to old and new but only for football/rugby and was shocked how appalling the sound was. Literally no idea what was being said at all, no one knew anthems about to start etc. I presume the music just gets lost in all the reverb so sounds ok.
Any new stadium is pretty easy to sort sound I think - country needs a new gen of them as most things 60-70yo need replacing......... |

Should be able to fix sound at wembley, but they don't bother.
