More seriously how on earth does the Football League allow clubs to get into situation, must be warning signs a plenty. A week before the season starts too. Same thing happening at non league Morecombe. |

Unfortunately, it's the modern game. Fans encourage these millionaire owners to spend spend spend and then turn on them when the money runs out. Then they hope for another mug millionaire they can suck up to for more huge transfer spends and then turn on them when their money runs out. Rinse and repeat. Hopefully Wednesday can bag one of these Netflix watching romantic clueless Yanks to save them.

.. I dont think this chaps money has run out at morecambe, its a strange one why he wont sell ?, also how can the fate of a club the size of Morecambe be dependent on ONE man. ?? Good luck to them.

Wednesday are a club with a rich history and came close to winning the Premiership about 30 years ago.
I've never been a massive football fan,cricket and racing,are my thing,but Wednesday is in my bllod as either they are Utd are in any Sheffielder my age. This Thai chancer is a disgrace. And some people think the Glazers are bad. |

Always had a soft spot for Wednesday. First match i ever saw on tv as a little lad was the 1966 cup final against the Toffees. If we hadn't come back from 2 down to win on that famous day i would probably have been an owls supporter !
Really hope all gets sorted out and they go onwards and upwards. Same for Morecambe, a real shame to see their plight, can't Tyson get involved ? |

Late payments to HMRC, delayed salaries for players and staff members, and transfer embargos have clipped the club's wings. There were concerns about whether their first match of the season against Leicester on Sunday would go ahead, but it is understood the players will fulfil the fixture. Now, with a skeleton squad, enforced stand closure and dire financial prospects, fans have told the BBC what they feel Chansiri's failure to sell is doing to the club, the city, and its people. "We're all struggling," says Hillsborough season ticket-holder Gaz Robinson. "It's been terrible for everybody - mentally exhausting. "We need the chairman to see sense, to take into account how we feel, how the city is feeling, and make the right decision." Does anyone know if their is a fund to help them out.
