Palace didn't deserve that but rules are rules and have to be observed.

It's a shame the Premier League can't be as decisive and demote Guardiola's Financial Fair Play cheats to League 2.   Sad

It was always on the cards so it's no surprise unfortunately.

They should pull out of the Conference league in protest, not just that, if you're Palace you're not safe from relegation even if it may seem like they are right now, playing an extra 15 games, as Chelsea had to do to win it, is crazy for a club like Palace, why would add 15 extra games onto their premier league schedule, they'd probably be favourites to win it as well. This 3rd level, 3rd rate competition is really not worth their while at all, not unless they're just going to play kids, but even then it's wasting the managers time preparing for games.

I don't think this is a bad thing for Palace. Less money from the ECL but it's very winnable and they could get 2 years in Europe by winning it, getting the EL the following year.

Good chance they'll lose Guehi and Eze. EL next season might be a major hindrance but ECL shouldn't be. Unlikely they'll get EL from league position or FA cup again next year.
