So keeper has got eight seconds to get the ball out but you can take 30 second s and more for throw ins also players jumping around after scoring goal time not adding on.
Agree totally. And when did you last see a goalie penalised for the 8 second rule infraction. I’ve seen them hold the ball for 15-20 seconds without as much as a word from any ref. The choreographed goal celebrations now seem to form an important part of SKY’s coverage. Listen to the rubbish “explanations “ by commentators. Mind you, it’s the least they can do given that the players have spent time rehearsing them on the training ground. Throw in the holding and grappling for corners and free kicks, diving, feigning injury and the general time wasting and you have a game that has gone beyond joke level. It’s bankrupt!

Your judgement is clouded because you were obviously a goal away from your overs bet landing, ABBA. Our leagues have been having huge amounts of injury time added, while some other countries have chose not to go down that route.
Take a look at the new season and see how many 5+ minutes are added in the first half, with 8+ minutes in the second half. Most PL games are over 100 minutes now.

The 8 second rule replaces the 6 second rule that was hardly ever enforced as it led to indirect free kick in box, the new rule is 8 seconds with a referee countdown from 3 seconds to 8 seconds and punished by a corner kick, which likely takes over a minute to get into play... Lol

This rule is going to be an absolute farce, cue the ref and crowd contiually doing a Ted Rodgers everytime the ref is delaying.
Completely subjective as to at what point the countdown begins, at what point does a keeper have clear possession of the ball after a save enabling the countdown to begin, just another grey area that has been introduced.

Yeah but ref decides when he has had 3 seconds, and raises his arm to warn keeper and then keeper has 5 seconds
I think it's worth a try, at least, as keepers falling to ground having made simple catch and staying down for 15 seconds is pretty boring.
Problem, for me is they get as long as they want to take corner or prevent corner coming in by wrestling in box.

My pet hate is a defender can foul an attacker on the edge of the box then stand over the ball so the attacker cannot take a quick free kick. Defenders should have to retreat 10 yards immediately or face further penalty
Also why do refs allow WWE wrestling at corners? just give a penalty or free kick against the first one you see doing it and it will stop.

Yep, but they tend to time release from full nelson to coincide with ball being kicked.
More than happy to see it stamped out before and after ball is kicked

There was talk a couple of seasons back about stopping the wrestling at corners, think I saw one instance of a pen being awarded, that was it, then they were back to players wrestling and ref having a word before players recommence the wrestling and ref ignores it.
I agree with the people who have had enough of how long it takes to take a free kick in an attacking area, kick is awarded, then we have a minute where defenders argue/question the decision, then another two minutes whilst two players stand over the ball before it is finally delivered....boorriinngg.
I also agree with ayone thinking we are back to not enough time is being added, after the world cup for a period of time we had numerous occasions where double figure amounts of minutes were being added, nothing like that now, if you added up all the dilly dallying over throw ins, corners, free kicks et al we should have 10 minutes added practically every game IMO.

There really is no argument against a time keeper, other than how long should be set on the clock.
Top teams delay games as much as poor teams, but, top teams want the time to be added back, whereas poor teams want it to be lost.
