We often hear that if you were offered (whatever) before the start of the season you'd have taken it, so let's hear your thoughts on what you would accept as a reasonable outcome for the coming season for YOUR team. Here's mine...

Spurs - Minimum Europa qualification... We're not winning PL or CL so only two cups are remotely realistic for Spurs this season. Winning one would be great, but back in Europa/CL as an absolute minimum would be an acceptable outcome.

To continue to be competitive.

I think top 8 will be a decent finnish, and the
higher the better.

A few wins in champions league, maybe make last 24, and some home cup
ties to give some extra excitement.

Find out we are building a 70k+ stadium

Your not leaving yourself any wiggle room there Dragon. If I was a 'Pool supporter I'd probably say a domestic cup (or better) and qualification for the CL as a minimum. Anything else is a bonus.

YHTL has it about right and is the minimum the Toon should expect now. Dunno about the stadium though, although they'd probably fill it!

I think top 8 is a good ask in the Prem league, got to play well to achieve that.

aim high and expect better is my shout,

id expect newcastle to do much better than top 8. top 4 wd be my hope for them along ith a good champions league run

a good run in champions league and qualification in europe wd be my aim if i was a spurs fan.hopefully a really good cup run wd be good. a good consolidation season for the new manager is a must.

How can you better top 8?

Maybe, although European qualification has to be a realistic aim for us. Prior to Coco we had a run of 15 years in the top 8... I expect improvement now he's gone.

Everybody was delighted with 5th last season.

You'd like to see improvement but there are 4 very good teams ahead of us
and villa, tott, man u, Brighton, forest on our tail plus
of course any other team like Fulham, or palace who may over perform
and pass us.

You saw from spurs and man utd last season how easy it is to focus away from league
and then you struggle to beat anybody but the dross.

you shd always aim to improve imvho 4th is one posi better than 5th and u were only 3 points behind 4th with the sanme goal difference and thats with losing the last two games..

Yes wanting to improve isn't the point of the thread though.

top 4 for Liverpool is certain. To put up a strong defence of their title is an absolute minimum. semi final of european cup would be good too. not bothered about any of the domestic cups, unless they reach a final, in which case "go on lads,do it ! "

To still exist. ( Sheffield Wednesday fan )
Staff not paid for months, transfer embargo now on, players jumping ship, huge tax bill due in a week,  people not buying season tickets due to uncertainty.
You lot think you have problems!
