So Southend are promoted to League Two, having finihed TWENTY-EIGHT points behing York over the full season. York achieved 96 points, well clear of the pack, and can feel righly robbed. The play-offs are a travesty, IMO. If all the relegation issues, and most of the promotion issues, are decided by the full season's results, creating the play-offs was an act of total madness. The argument that it gives more clubs an incentive to aim at simply does not wash.

My bad for posting Southend instead of Oldham. But my objection to the play-offs still remains, as Oldham were 23 points adrift of York. How unjust is that?

The big problem that needs to get rectified is the, 2 teams down from div 2 and only 2 going up from the national league.
