Without Maddison, Kulusevski and Bergvall I struggle to see Tottenham winning this, looks like Son will start as well, shades of Kane starting the CL final when half fit in place of Moura, that didn't go too well. I'd start Ricarlison or Tel.
United to win 2-1 with the obvious Fernandes being the difference maker.

16th v 17th has to be the lowest league positions two team have ever been in when competing in a European final, if it wasn't for the fact CL teams can no longer drop into this comp then both teams would already be out. Incidentally, something wrong when a club of Chelsea size is allowed into the Conference league, it's for clubs like Djurgarden who they knocked out, Chelsea players and fans wont ever care about this whereas for the Swedish team it'd be their World Cup final. I think the point needs to be made...
If either us (Spurs) or United were not in the Europa final then there is no way we would be 16th or lower in the League. You can hate all you want but the rules at the start of the competition were the Europa winner enters the UCL. End of. The much heralded Seville won this tournament 7 times. They regularly used to sack off La Liga to win the Europa & get UCL qualification. The year they beat Liverpool they were 12th and won 0 games on the road. When Fergus won his first trophy, the Cup in 1990 they were horrible in the League. Finished 14th if memory serves. That was alright tho.. Seville were gaming the system and Fergus was a genius. I really dont expect us to win tomorrow night. I think Utd have a better squad man for man. Our best chance may come in taking advantage of United's system with which their players dont look too comfortable. But if we score it will be a minor miracle. |

my pre season punts next yr will be based on relaxation and 1,2,3 of promoted teams beating recent trends ,which leaves a lot of established teams looking over their shoulders

I wished Qualifying for CL AND a trophy (no matter how insignificant) is a better season for one of us. Spin it any way you want, but the history books will recognise it as a better season in addition to those on here watching on here. I don't make the rules. Obviously hope it is Spurs for some extra meat on the bone, but either team will put Arsenal in the shade. Yours sincerely |
