i believe robbie robinson was the better player....there is a moment in the last waltz where claptons guitar strap breaks and robbie takes over the rift and you dont notice the break.....

I watched The Last Waltz must have been 20/30 years ago and damned if I can recall any of it (probably stoned

Cheers Winja, have now watched it... I have also saved the full video in my favs to watch again soon. I also watched a 'not-very-good' documentary on YouTube where it explained that RR was good, not great when he joined and just kept getting better... a lot better.
