They're are 6 teams in the National League South that can win the title, all separated by 3 points, for a 500/1 winner, one of these two teams, Dorking or Boreham Wood would need the 4 or 5 above them to lose and them to win

Can't ever remember this scenario where there are this many teams who can win the league on the final day, Boreham wood have the best goal difference. Realistically, Truro who are top on goal difference from Torquay, will win the league but they are playing St. Albans fighting for survival, Torquay are playing a mid table side with nothing to play for but are away, Worthing are away to Enfield Town who are doing the same, looking over their shoulders at St. Albans and wont want to take chances especially with a much inferior goal difference to them, Eastbourne Borough are home to a team with nothing to play for apart from hoping to overturn a +16 goal difference to get into the play offs, which wont happen.
Worth a small punt on these two teams anyway at 500/1 to win the league with final day jitters abound.
think looking again, these two actually need the top 2 to lose but the 3rd and 4th placed teams can draw and either Dorking or Borehamwood can overtake them on goal difference

I'll be at Eastbourne Borough on Sat afternoon. They are 25/1 currently needing a win and the two above, not to win.
Worthing were top before Monday's games
Good Friday was at Eastbourne Borough along with 3600 others to see them draw with Worthing, despite having an extra man from about the 15th minute. Had they used their advantage over 70mins and won, they would be top today, by a point.
Pretty sure it is going to be one of the top 2 to go up. Play-offs are a complicated conundrum of fixtures

HEMEL, ST ALBANS, WSM or DRAW and ENFIELD or DRAW 221/1 on Billies, so 500/1 each of the other 2 looks a reasonable price.
Maybe favour BOREHAM WOOD, by virtue of their better GD, to finish higher than DORKING.

Dorking 3-1 up at Boreham Wood with 8 mins to go. Boreham Wood score 83', 89' and 96' to go 4-3 up.
Dorking equalise 98', but Ref has blown his whistle before the ball enters the net.

Bizarrely, the probable 3 best teams in the Division (in the Play Offs) - Torquay, Worthing and Dorking have now all been knocked out.
Which leaves the magical Eastbourne Borough with a good chance tomorrow afternoon.

The most ridicolous thing about these play offs is the location of the final - which is at Torquay as they came 2nd in the league. Now fans of Boreham Wood and either Eastbourne/Dorking have to travel 5/6 hours back to the south west for the next weekend! Crazy

Wicklow & Mes -think you've got your wires crossed here. The final will be played at the home ground of the finalist that finished higher in the league, so Eastbourne will host if they win otherwise it will be Boreham Wood. Half time - Eastbourne 0 Maidstone 1, come on the stones !

I read that it was once called Boreham Wood, but heard a few explanations and none of them agree. No, I'm not Jewish; it doesn't follow suit with Spurs' supporters.

The town has been known by both names over the years and i think the club adopted the two word name when they formed after the war. Subsequently the one word name became what the town was known by in the 70s but the club never followed suit.

Dixie - I hope your right. Someone told me about the Torquay hosting the final today and I had to ask him... are you sure about 3 or 4 times. He was adamant that its in torquay even though they lost. Which makes no sense, I probably should have checked before I said it on here. BTW I have been living in Torquay for 12 years, some long faces about town today.

Promotion Finals in the Vanarama National League South will take place at the home ground of the finalist club who finished higher in the league table during the regular season.
