"In pre-season, I asked the lads: 'PL or UCL, what's the dream?' They all wanted the UCL. We are focused on the trophy our boys want so we can complete our history in Europe, congratulations LFC, but we'll be there next season."

This season quite a few mid-table teams have upped their physicality and power so they're not as easily swept aside by the Big Boys. Imagine where Arsenal would be without their early season shenanigans at corners.

good point Nobby. Just think where Liverpool would be if we were as good at set pieces as Arsenal
something to work on in the summer

Just watch Arsenal's first goal last night.

Partey ran a Palace defender yards out of the way to create a huge hole in the Palace defence for Kiwior to rise unchallenged to head home.

Very clever

Arsenal and man city battered each other last season
chasing her.

No surprise they left her to somebody else as
soon as going got tough this season.

Man City chasing a girl a shadow of former
glory whilst arsenal chasing euro bird who
already rejected Liverpool and city.

Didn't he say similar last season (etc) only he left out the bit about winning the UCL? If I was an Arse fan I'd be extremely worried that my manager seems to think we will never be good enough (under said manager) to win 2 trophies in the same season.

Arteta is building a good squad. I am not a fan of his. Despite the last few mistakes and conceding from wining positions a striker like Mateta would have solved the dropping of points problem. Injured defenders back next season and Arsenal will be difficult to beat. Everyone knows what Arsenal need.

Personally I just don't like the way there is so little running off the ball and the lack of ball speed, lack of directness at times. Maybe I don't get football, it is not my sport and these tictacs have been devised to counter the park the bus merchants but it is soo boring. Arsenal 2002/3/4 were so beautiful to watch surpassed only by the Barca of Rijkaard from around 2005 with Eto'oo, Messi and Ronaldinho up front, Xavi and Iniesta behind, the defence....who cares!

This corner situation is also getting my goat. Arsenal concede more from set pieces than Anyone but United! The draws against Pool and Citeh were from corners with nobody on the edge of the box, same as last night. How many times till it becomes Bleedin' Obvious?

I don't know how good Zubimendi is but Partey has been brilliant at times this season freeing up Rice Skelley can also play there. Just get Nico Williams and a striker! Make an offer for Mateta too! Any number of forwards would score 20+ league goals. Get the best available and pay what he is worth. Look at Salah. Liverpool well though they have done are not that good imho.

Zubimendi looks pretty good tbf. For the money he is a steal.

Cunha would Shirley be better fit than mateta, and hes
already got a decent red collection of his own.

He is pretty good too will costa packet and wages. Dont think he would fit in with Arteta. Not saying Mateta would be cheap either but how many centre forwards in this league are better than Arsenal have? Most teams have 2 better strikers! Again we can talk about dropping points from winning positions but if you have a finisher the game is usually over.

Watkins might be a great fit for arsenal, if he is for sale

Obviously lsak would be nearly perfect but might not be for sale.

I think Watkins is shaping up! He would be a good fit. I think Arsenal are after the Holy Trinity though. Williams, Gykores and Zubimendi and why not? Less than £160 million in total. Wages of several coming off. Could even offload Partey good as he is.

I think if they got Williams and Zubi that would be enough. Any half decent forward could finish for Arsenal but if they really want it they should get Gykores or even Watkins.

We don't need Williams, we have Martinelli, Partey is worth his weight in Gold.

All we need is a front man and better cover for Saka.

If Newcastle make the top 5, Isak will stay. If they don't he probably has an asking price. But they're on the upward trajectory so he may not even be tempted to move anyway.

Don't really know how good Gykores is, Nunez came from the Portuguese league after tearing it up, and he's crap. Gykores wasn't in  the Championship that long ago aged 23 , it's normally the case players of real talent aren't spotted that late.

Kind Regards.

We do need Williams. The question is do we need Zubimendi. For £50 million I say yes but the right striker or to be honest any striker should be a priority. Watkins could be cut price and would fit nicely but I think this Gykores has something. I think he might be the missing link between a good side and a great side. Martinelli is good but not that good or effective. Williams is a class above him and so is Nwaneri! I was always a big fan of Partey but he has never really showed his class for Arsenal until this season. He really looks solid gold atm and is freeing up Rice. He is also tough as teak and does not take it off anyone. Zubi is younger and could do the same thing and probably offers a little more in passing range.

Martinelli has been excellent the last few weeks.

I will tell you what. In the second leg against Madrid he was like a Duracell Bunny. I commented to a friend he must know Arsenal are signing Nico Williams!

He is a good player and has been playing well without a doubt. I just think Williams is better and will provide more for the imaginary center forward.
