Yes Tuchell out!

I have to say I like him. I like the high press intensity. I want to see more running off the ball, which, I think is on his agenda and I want to see more zip in the passing.

I think he is what this England team needs.

I don’t want to see Foden on either wing but as understudy to Bellingham.

Saka will bd back and I thought Rashford showed glimpses of what he might be able to offer and stretch teams giving more space to others.

I have high hopes under Tuchell. Our defence was tested at times by Albania. We don’t play many good teams in the build up to the World Cup. What happens when we do?

“We hope for more impact in these positions,” Tuchel said. “More dribbling and more aggressive runs towards the box. In general that was missing. The chances come from the little runs behind the line. They were not as decisive as they can be.”

Tuchel considered whether Foden lacks belief in an England shirt. “We will encourage him to do what he does best, to go at defenders, to go into dribbles,” the German said. “Both our wingers who started were not as impactful as they can be in club football. I’m not so sure why we struggled to bring the ball quickly to them.

“We lacked runs off the ball. It was a little bit too much passing, not enough dribbling, not aggressive enough towards goal. They trained very well, they were decisive in training. That’s why I also think they deserved [to start], they were very good in the last weeks with their clubs. We will keep on encouraging them.”

I agree. I hate tika taka. Play the ball forward early and with pace. I think we are going to see some exciting football soon

I suspect that maybe foden, rashford, and one or two others perhaps have , already, passed their best by date.
It's on the younger players I think.
With a few oldies pulling the strings.

When Foden is played out on the right wing defenders know how to deal with him. IMO Foden is better playing slightly deeper.

I'm with ericster here... let's suck it and see. Far too early to determine anything after one game. Wind-up thread.

The thread starter is a silly hater. Possibly biased against Germans out of nefarious reasons. Was also very quick to block me, a professed German citizen, on here.

Most likely it was not a coincident that he couldn't resist pointing out Tuchel's nationality in the opening post.

Oh, actually unblocked me.

I love you super much, SirNorbertClarke! Please don't read the preceding messages!

I strongly suspect there may have been a large portion of ironic sarcasm in the OP...

I think so. Everyone knows the leader of the muppets is French.
