Here is a fun fact.
I spent an afternoon looking this up... ... But how many teams of the 92 league and EPL clubs have won a trophy since Spurs somehow fluked the 2008 League Cup? Bearing in mind they hand out a trophy for winning the EFL play offs these days. And I am also including the EFL trophy, the one where Peterborough always seem to be in the final. Also any team promoted out of the conference as CHampions. The answer is, I believe... 73. And of the other 19, 17 have achieved some sort of promotion. THat just leaves the not so mighty Spurs and Everton. Given that Ev have new owners, a brand spanking new stadium plus Moyesy back in his spiritual home then I dont think it may be too long before the Toffees are back in the winners enclosure. Which is food for thought. |

They ain't getting past Frankfurt if recent results are anything to go by |

I think they said Trippier winning yesterday was 65th trophy by ex spurs player
since spurs won one. I don't think anybody kept count for newcastle BELIEVE |
|
By:
I would be surprised if we get past Frankfurt to be honest.
We are not a good team. |

When we'd had a tough shift at work I used to present an "Employee of the Day" cup to the engineer who'd best coped under fire. Usually the person who'd sworn the most!
It was just a used paper cup but, after a tough shift, to some of the lads it was more important than the Carabao Cup. |

when youve been starved of success for so long, any success will be celebrated wildly. The same happened in Stoke in 1972.

Palace beat Everton 4-1 in the final @ Wembley. Heady times indeed. |

If you're a Premier League side the only trophies that matter are the League, the FA Cup & the Champions League.
The rest are worthless tin pots. Crackerjack pencils. |
|
By:
the FA Cup is leaning towards being a tin pot cup these days for the bigger clubs, even though it gets a europa league qualification.

Premier league list of priorities..
Survival Top 4 Title Europe the FA Cup & the League Cup are a long long way down for most of them. An away draw in either tournament is usually their ticket out of there. |
