Some of the following seem very short to win their Leagues :

PREM -LIVERPOOL - 6 points clear with a game in hand - price is 1.36

CHAMPIONSHIP -LEEDS - Level on points with S. Utd and 1 point clear of Burnley - price is 1.58.

DIV1- BIRMINGHAM -1 point clear with a game in hand - price is 1.28.

DIV 2 -WALSALL - 9points clear with a game in hand - price 1.6.

Given the positions of all 4 Walsall look the value with the biggest points lead and yet they are the best price.

I dont get the Leeds price as there is nothing between the top three.

Brum look very short also but they will probably win it same goes for Liverpool.

Long way to go be intersresting to see how many of them actually win it.

Thoughts welcome.

3.14 with 365 for them all to win --now that is very very short imvho
Report Foinavon December 29, 2024 11:02 AM GMT
Walsall showed consistent improvement during the second half of last season which has continued into this, they are no flash in the pan. As long as they remain relatively injury free (always a problem in the lower divisions without the squad depths of the higher ones) then they should win it from here.
Report The Dragon December 29, 2024 11:05 AM GMT
They certainly look the value of the 4 Foinavon
Report Foinavon December 29, 2024 11:23 AM GMT
Of the 4 yes although I wouldn't class 1.6 as a value bet at this stage of the season given the uncertainties and the competitive nature of this league.

Had a few quid on Liverpool about 6 weeks ago @1.9, thought they would be 1.2 now guessing people greening up is keeping the price as big as it is.
Walsall look a good price but as stated couple of injuries at that level could make a massive difference.
In the championship Burnley look a solid outfit if they can sign a goalscorer could be very dangerous add to the fact Sheff utd have had a 2 point deduction Leeds do look short.
As for league 1 by the finances Birmingham should be 10 points clear by now be interesting if the add any more players in January.

Liverpool, Leeds and Walsall all win with Brum drawing 0-0

Brum -    1.13 - 2 points clear of Wycome with 2 games in hand. 2 tough away games coming up - look very very solid.

Birmingham 1.15 after last nights draw at Wrexham.

Most interesting League (to set up the fivefold) is the National League, although limited liquidity on here.

1.    Forest Green Rovers P27 PTS55 9/4
2.    York City 26 54 7/4
3.    Barnet    27 54 9/4
4.    Gateshead 27 48 40/1
5.    Oldham Athletic 25 44 22/1
6.    Altrincham 26 41 500/1
7.    Solihull Moors 27 41 500/1
8.    Rochdale 23 39 40/1
9.    FC Halifax Town    25 39 750/1

Barnet have York to play at home in February, Forest Green have already played both and are now 16 games unbeaten.

This weekend FGR have the toughest fixture, can they go 17 unbeaten?

Barnet V Maidenhead
Boston V York
Altrincham V FGR

not a bad shout TG but its picking the right one in what looks a very open title race. Might do a bit of research on it and see what i come up with.

still not convinced on Leeds -the others look pretty solid

Hey TG

Did a bit of digging on nat Leageu and added YORK at 7/4

All five are best prices with 365 at just over 5/1

Some strange results over the weekend with defeats for Walsall and York and draws for Birmingham and FGR.

Main beneficiaries were Barnet and Leeds (if they can avoid defeat at Burnley tonight).

Cannot get on with £3.65 (closed after 4 days and only £30 up Laugh) so have done done the fivefold yet but best prices are:

The 4 "Good Things"

WITH BARNET - 4.7/1 Fred

WITH YORK - 6.47/1 365

WITH FGR - 6.6/1 Sky

current posi is:

Liverpool 1.27

Leeds  1.31

Brum   1.09

Not much change other than a drift on Walsall due to their recent poor form. All look pretty solid altough Leeds still look short
