For me he's on the cusp, not quite there yet, but he's making strides. We'll soon find out if he can go all the way. Some don't.

He's a super athlete and so quick.

Would be odd to pay £100million for him and not play him.

Looks far better with a striker through the middle.

He's perfect for modern football, such a high work rate

His finishing needs work, but he's working on it.

Reminds me of Francis Jeffers at a similar age, thinks he's better than he actuaklly is.

nice to see yesterdays podcast where villa fans joined the not so exclusive  club of l,pool ,madrid.n,castle, man utd and englands fans in hating MICHAEL OWEN with a passion, never has one man united  so many fans/clubs in the hatred of himself
on a rio ferdy podcast owen said villa fans made him feel physicaly sick for giving grealish a bit at everton, said he single handidly took villa to EPL even though villa fans pointed out mcgin got POTY that season along with mings etc, he then went on in to  a speaking in the 3rd man way obviously talking about his own move to madrid and the abuse he got saying grealish wanted to try a new language, food, enviroment etc, villa fans pointed out BRUM is 100 miles up the rd to manchester LaughLaughLaugh,
madrid players hated owen reckon he was thick as mince in training ,uncoachable couldnt understand systems, formations etc where he should be in the system and as for intergrating he used to drive 20 odd miles to madrid airport everyday to buy the english newspapers
by the end of the podcast you were just preying for a 100 apple cores and a waste paper basket to arrive LaughLaugh

I find it hard to believe that a city the size of Madrid wouldn’t sell English papers locally.  The Airport story sounds suspect to me.
The guy was seriously over-played as a youngster and suffered chronic impairment to his fitness as a result.
I laughed at Shearer telling the world that he came to a stage in his career where he had to change his game style as his legs wouldn’t do what they once could.  Then, when Owen admitted he had to reduce his running in Newcastle games because of injury caused impairment Shearer called him all the khounts under the sun.  I st8ll laugh at that hypocrisy from the loudmouth.

Difference is; Owen wouldn't play in the final game against Villa under Shearer in case he got injured which would have scuppered his chances of a move to Man U.

What would you have expected?  It’s a hard game.  If he’d played and got injured would NUFC have compensated him?  Not likely!

I've never once seen any Real Madrid player say Owen didn't understand tactics or was uncoachable, who said that 1tp? any links to these quotes or are you just completely making it up ?

He was injured a lot during that season, but the fans saw him as the player who robbed Raul of the Baloon Door in 2001, don't know why they didn't even win the CL that season.

Kind Regards.
