Portugal's B team looks too strong for Georiga, Neves, Ramos, Jota, Felix, Neto etc.
Bookies can't make up their minds if Turkey or the Czechs are favs. Both look bang average and will be going out in the next round anyway.
Kind Regards.

I love this game Stan but would prefer Holland next. We would stink the place out again against Slovakia

England would stink it out against Holland too.

Take no risks v Slovenia, they are hardly gonna start playing risky passes and getting midfielders making runs when they won't be able to track back it goes wrong.

England would set up in the 'low block'. Punting a few long balls to Kane, who would be too slow to reach them.

I've played with prop forwards who were quicker than Kane and I'm not joshing either.

they very rarely start games on the back foot under Southgate..they often get pushed back and aren't good enough to keep the ball so end up in a low block..but trying to think of a game where they genuinely set up like that..

What is he doing starting a 39 year old Ronaldo when they're guaranteed top ?

Quality yellow card from the ref there.

Hate that trailing the foot so that 'there is contact'...

Ronaldo wants to play every minute of every game. Is only in the team because Martinez is scared to drop him. So if he gets injured/suspended it's no big deal.

bolden shoot...and he gets the hump and destroys team harmony if he ever doesn't get what he wants...

He should not be starting any games!

Ramos is on the bench and hasn't had a kick all tournament, that's one of the weakest managerial decisions I've ever seen, Ronaldo musn't believe his luck his got this fanboy in charge, same with Beckham and Sven who wouldn't drop him for the world cup when clearly unfit with a foot injury, Beckham jumped out of a challenge against Brazil worried about being injured and they scored from it, gave him captaincy as well when Sol Campbell should have had it.

you remember what happened to the last manager that dropped Ronaldo with Portugal ?

Martinez not stupid...got a talented group here and some very good young uns ...probably fancies a tilt at WC with them..

If you are going to drop Ronaldo, and he should but prob won't, give him as much game time before the big KO rounds. But yes self-preservation also comes into it, bit like that Belgium manager not going for it more late on.

You think Martinez would be sacked for dropping a player in a dead rubber 3rd group game, of course he wouldn't. The Portugal manager last time round simply came to an end of a cycle, they were already talking about binning after the Euro's in England.

Goncalo Ramos replaced Cristiano Ronaldo and scored a hat trick as Portugal stormed into the World Cup quarterfinals with an emphatic 6-1 victory over Switzerland on Tuesday.

Head coach Fernando Santos made a brave call to drop Ronaldo following a dispute in their last match, but Portugal proved to be free-scoring without him, setting up a quarterfinal clash with Morocco on Saturday.

obvs doesn't get sacked either way till tourny is over but Ron would have fancied himself to get a couple tonight...doesn't run anyway so doesn't need preserving and would have said he wanted to play...not worth the aggro...

What are football pundits doing saying it wasn't a penalty for Ronaldo when he had his shirt pulled.
It's deliberate cheating, No question. The games has gone mad, Even VAR didn't give it. Just wait and
and see if England lose because of a shirt pull. We'll never hear the last of it. Remember Maradona!!!
The only footballer to ever cheat in the whole world.
