I heard his interview with Sam Matterface, he was asked long and detailed questions, gave very short and curt answers, sounds like he doesn't want to be at a club that wants their own team to lose and hearing so many fans saying they wanted City to win is a bit of shock to his system.

"The last 48hrs has revealed to me the foundations are fairly fragile"
"It's revealed a fair bit to me, and that's alright, it just means I have to go back to the drawing board with something" Q- outside or inside the club? "Outside, inside, everywhere, it's been an interesting exercise" ![]() |

Interesting comments. He referred to what he'd learned over the last 48 hours. So not just about the fans tonight.

He must be the short straw for whoever gets to interview him. 'curt' is being charitable

he's usually not like that, journos like him in general

Must've just realised what Conte meant.

He has another 3 years left.

Maybe Levy told him to lose to City

It can’t be down to the fans not wanting their rival to win the league!!! If it is, then Big Ange is in the wrong industry, because there isn’t one fan base out there who wouldn’t be bothered losing a game to inflict misery on their rivals. Any football fan base that says that isn’t true is lying to themselves!! It’s what built into rivalry and that’s what makes the game of football so good, those emotions are needed!
He is just a sore loser, he lost 4 on the bounce, his given away far to many big chances to teams and has got away with it in games on countless occasions this season, his the first spurs manager to lose to city in this stadium (now twice). No point in replacing the manager after one season which despite losing Kane, overall has been ok! Considering the advantages in preparation for games etc that has been at his disposal, finishing 5th is average expectations for this season! Ange could be building something, but will he get the investment, no because the chair and owners are more then happy to build the infrastructure of the sports arena and the football team is now just residing at the complex! I’d be more obliged to believe it’s got something to do with the club ownership than anything else. They pass up on superstars all the time because Levy doesn’t part with the deals, his ego as a tough negotiator controls him! He is an egomaniac and a complete control freak! |

He is is probably irked by the fact that Man U weren't expected to down tools v AFC to hurt Citeh yet Spuds were expected to down tools.
A massive contrast in expectation. |
By:
He was correct and professional in his attitude towards this game.
By:
Just think what he could do at Man U with their unbelievable wealth and buying power and a clear out of the dross. he comes across as a remarkably nice fella too. he is the main man.

Top top man and manager Ange....

Jury's still out on that one jedi. Wasn't so hot a manager when teams sussed him out and he had no Plan B. I guess (if he stays) we'll see next season.

nobody said there's evidence of that, but last time a manager came out criticising the club, albeit indirectly, he was sacked, Levy's not gonna take having the blame put on him. Postecoglu seems really hurt and shocked by the last few days, even had an argument with a fan behind him cheering for City, a bizarre week for him.
By:
what he also sees which we don't is player / owner attitudes and how they seem spurs progressing, maybe he's just discovered that beyond that fabulous stadium is a club with no ambition other than to get by
By:
Yeah he seems like a guy who wants to win and be successful. Prob learned that some of his players, the fans and maybe even the owners are not that way inclined over the last few days. Interesting to see who he picks for the Sheff U game and what his attitude is. Maybe putting that 16yo kid on was a message. Most people thought it was Spurs trolling Arsenal but was prob more of a message to the players and fans.

By:
He's realised that he manages a Wannabe team, they wannabe big but don't have the class of Arsenal . and never will
By:
i watched his interview last night and thought he sent a really strong message to everyone at the club and the fans, i hope he stays there and gets some backing to financially, they looked lean on the bench again and he didn't have many options, need a striker for a start and a replacement for son
By:
Ange should keep shtum. He's in a privileged position considering his limited background and tactics, that have been sussed by the entire league. At this present time I'm judging him like one of the merry-go-round managers, but in his defence he's had it tough with injuries and suspensions throughout the season, not forgetting, as elise stated, he hasn't got an out-and-out striker to pick. Son can't head so obviously cannot fill the role of a striker and Richarlison is a waste of space, although, to his credit, he can head a ball.
By:
He may have injuries but he also had the luxury of training sessions to prepare for games with just 41 games being played this season
By:
He shouldn't have taken it out on the fans. They have, on the main, bought into his project and given him a lot of patience, especially given that his poor pragmatism has cost them Champions League over the last couple of months, it wasn't lost last night.
The fans are the ones that would have had to wear an Arsenal title in the whatsapp groups, at work, wherever there is a bit of gentle banter, its a one off situation sure, but can't have a go at them for not quite being 100% behind the team last night, in reality they've had plenty of chance to put Villa away since beating them 4-0 and Villa have kept letting them back in |
By:
He dosent do training sessions
Its all in the classroom No doubt the players cant read the instructions Perhaps Johnson should go on a assertive tuition CLASSES ![]() |
By:
I don't think those gaps between games helped us at all; players go cold and lose momentum. We should get back in Europe this year so hopefully that'll help.

Saw both the sky interview and press conference,
don't think it was much to do with the fans...sounds far more like there has been some fairly robust differences of opinion with Levy and co..not entirely impossible that he even knows he's going (though I'd be surprised) as for the nice bloke act - I think that lasted as long as things were going well, he's been a pretty prickly interview ever since the tide turned...which is fine but the affable Aussie he certainly isn't.. |

100% agree. As for him being all upset with the fans at not wanting their team to win to stop their arch rivals....he's managed in an old form derby FFS, he knows the score and is just constructing as many issues as he can to get out of the club...probably wants to be available when the United job cr@p shoot begins. |

gave an interview in the 90s when Under 19s Aussie coach, interview trying to bait him and he was robust back then, don't think it's act, he's simply been really annoyed in recent weeks when he's seen the club lacks the same ambition he does, and the fans, right coach, wrong job. Not even Conte and Mourinho could succeed there and they are winners.
By:
Take away the first 6 weeks of the season and really there wasn't much to shout about. I don't think we'll win anything under Angie Baby but it'll be a roller coaster and isn't that what following THFC is all about?
By:
He's basically been a souped up version of Kompany.

By:
Tbf, he's got Spurs to finish higher than many thought possible without Kane's goals.
