It’s the Valletta voodoo,
There’s that many departments in  sliema .they all add a goal.
The both team to score dept ,away team dept, home team dept.

I wonder if some bets, big bets are placed in the few minutes, seconds the incorrect score line is on the site.

Someone sees 3-0 backs Chelsea to win big bet,Chelsea draw 1-1.

Obviously the punter can only blame himself,

But do Betfair void these bets, desperate stuff if this is a buyer beware tactic.

If it happened the other way round, info from the stadium stated incorrect score ,I’m sure there’d be a rule voiding bets.

Can’t believe they d sink this low,but also can’t understand why 2 goals keep getting added.

Easy to solve, just write into managers yearly bonus ,if extra goals are added then no bonus,I’m sure it would stop.

Anyone checked against other bookie sites?  I thought they all bought the live score feeds in from the same people?

And while football is not my betting thing usually, I think the "Warning" at the bottom of most pages meansthey don't void when the dispalyed score is wrong?

I think Stew it`s all because of that stupid VAR.

But given that logic, they may aswell have every game the wrong score and don’t attempt to correct it.buyer beware.

When the banks got done for overcharging on failed direct debits bouncing or excessive interest charges on being overdrawn by 50p for 1 day,the court ruled, just cos you’re telling someone you’re fleecing them,it dosent mean it’s ok to do so.

If the error is in the punters favour, they scream palpable error and void bets back to the time of the incident.
My question was,if it says Chelsea 3-0 for 1 minute, what happens to any bets placed in that minute if the punter believes it’s 3-0.

It’s not a one off, seems to be a normal regular occurrence when most goals are scored,I ve seen it loads of times,
It’s the Betfair Asian score just deduct 1 or 2 goals.until score can be checked.

If goals were being deducted rather than added I’m sure they d sort the problem out.

I had this a few years ago, stupidly didn't use my brain and realise a price was too good and ended up losing money, complained to Betfair about it and they did nothing, totally out of order and pathetically amateur for Betfair to have the incorrect score showing, as usual they get away with whatever they want.

Always check overs prices and then match odds prices if still in doubt check livescore.

And the minutes counter seems to be all over the place.
I have a flash-view up with the bf mkt page to keep  track of things.

what was happening and ive not seen it recently myself but i did have it many times was the following;

you'd view a match market, the score at the top is correct, you'd switch to a second market but the score and goal markers stayed the same from the prev game, it was some sort of carry over from the prev page,

so for yday, if u viewed shef v ful when it was 3-2 (which n the times u may have) then switched to chelsea u may have had a carry over on what you saw

the best way to determine if this is happening is look at the goal markers on your first game, switch to second and see if they stay the same

the only fix i found was to either open a new window or open multiple windows one per match and not switch between markets, other than that check the correct score mkt to view betting to determine actual score

can't say ive seen it happen to me for a while and i don't know why it came and went

if they dont void bets when this happens someone somewhere is making a hell of a lot of money because of betfair incompetence.

And what about the "match view" option if , like me, you watch the mkts until you're out, you can see what's going on anyway.
Well, anything that might affect me.

All information supplied by Betfair is done so in good faith. However, Betfair cannot accept liability for any errors or omissions in respect of any information, such as the posting of prices, runners, times, scores, results or general statistics.

If it’s a regular occurrence,is this good faith.

Our systems keep adding 2 goals,but it’s just a computer glitch,honest gov.

I’m sure if their computer systems were paying out on losers, they d fix it.

John 42,my post isn’t about Betfair being in the wrong leagally,
It’s the punters fault,buyer beware.

I accept Betfair can’t be held responsible for every single piece of info, things can go wrong etc.

My point was,has the moral fibre of Betfair sunk that low, that accidentally pretending Chelsea are 3-0 up when it’s 1-0,2-0,then the odds look good, acceptable has a way of generating bets, then blaming the idiot punter for falling for it,then hiding behind liability rules on info as a get out.

No punter can ever try and reclaim any loses based on wrong info.

But has delayed pictures, moved to commentator calling wrong horse in a race,to
Yeah fook it,just add 2 goals, some idiot will fall for it.

The odd error is punters fault.a lot of double goals ,every week, would fail in a court of law.

Not that anyone would take them to court.(they settle anyway ,rather than it come out.)

Nobody in their right mind would think you could get 1.05 on Chelsea if they were 3-0 up against Burnley.

Quick gents. Carlisle 3-2 up according to Betfair and they are 99/1 to back!

Die linke.
So your point or logic is. Chelsea are winning 10-0. But Betfair score says losing 5-0. Away team are 100/1 to win so only people not in their right mind would back away team would believe  that 100/1 was real for a team winning 5-0.so it’s their own stupidity for falling for such generous odds.

I don’t think this is a good business plan going forward has customers might lose faith in trust.its a one time hit, upsetting customers.

Their accuracy needs to be as near to 100% as possible surely, with good excuses when it isn’t.

Someone in the thread mentioned other bookmakers, what are their odds,so maybe it’s the new, accidentally generate bets based on wrong goals,VAR ,excuse offers,
But like I said,desperate stuff.

Betfair should probably state even more prominently that the livescores are provided by a 3rd party and really only function as a guide. The fact remains that they are not liable in any way for errors and it is not in their interest to p1ss people off.

I'm always intrigued how people get there info when betting in play as I'm involved in correct score markets after a goal is scored. I've seen the lot on there, people betting on 1-0 when its 0-1, people betting on stale scores as the feed they are watching is one step ahead of getting the result in tomorrow's newspaper. If I placed bets according to the Betfair livescores, I would be living under a bridge and there would only be one person to blame for that.

It’s not about Betfair being liable, clearly they re not,but if the 3rd party constantly get it wrong, basically are useless.then at what point does someone step in to improve or alter this.

Would they payout on losers if the 3rd party got it wrong.

The replies in this thread, trying to justify it are.

1.betfair not liable,3rd party error.
2.VAR ,which would actually deduct a goal rather than add one,so makes no sense.
3.its idiotic punters fault for falling for mistakes.
4.open in new windows to get correct score.
5.other bookies seem to do it,so what’s the problem.

The defenders all seem to have joined Betfair pre 2004,so 20 year veterans,

It’s an hard gig lads defending this.

Stating pre match that Chelsea are crap and can’t win,is a whole different ball game to,it’s 3-0,when it’s 2-0.

On liability,I think they’re on dodgy ground.
If you go in a shop and a shirt is priced at 50quid,but at the till it’s 70 quid, because label was wrong.most shop managers will say,we ll let you have it for 50 cos it was priced that way, then remove price tag for next customer.
It’s tricky if Betfair say it’s 3-0,when it’s 2-0.espically if a customer can prove it’s the 97th time this has happened this season.

There are a 1001 ways to get eaten up and spat out on here. Another example, Germany versus France last week. The game suspends and unsuspends for kick off, eight seconds later a goal is scored and when it unsuspends the stale scorelines are available to lay at low prices because there can't have been a goal, can there?! If you bet in-play without fast pics, you will struggle. If you bet in-play without any pics, you have to be insane.

Agree, but consistent regular double goals isn’t a freak one off occurrence.thats the issue.
There’s 1001 incidents over the years of crazy stuff happening and it’s punters responsibility to check their facts.
But double goals as a norm isn’t right

although 365 are up to no good, forcing you to have bets you just didn't place, such as changing your over 1.5 bet to over 2.5 when the bet is processing but a goal has been scored, I don't remember them having incorrect scores for any matches, so why is it happening on Betfair? how can someone be so incompetent to get  so many scores wrong and by more than 1 goal, it can't be a coincidence.
