wonder when does the 'suspended' appear over the market...
Report SlippyBlue February 15, 2024 2:19 PM GMT
He overstayed his welcome that's for sure, I hope Cooper gets the gig personally.
Report SlippyBlue February 15, 2024 2:38 PM GMT
Glasner will get the job though according to the rumour mill.
Report stu February 15, 2024 3:02 PM GMT
How do you think that effects relegation/staying up slippy?
Report SlippyBlue February 15, 2024 3:09 PM GMT
I honestly don't think we'll be relegated Stu, given that Luton & Sheffield Utd are looking already doomed.
Report The Dragon February 15, 2024 3:10 PM GMT
glasner - never heard of himShocked
Report cluosou February 15, 2024 4:14 PM GMT
luton are hardly doomed burnley maybe
Report stu February 15, 2024 4:17 PM GMT
yeh think slippy meant Burnley and Sheff Utd
Report SlippyBlue February 15, 2024 4:44 PM GMT
Ah, yes I meant Burnley. Grin

Report scandanavian_haven February 15, 2024 11:55 PM GMT
anything Roy is pulling a fast one, about to sacked and comes down with an illness ? knowing the club wont sack him as it'll be such a bad PR move

that or the stress of the job
Report jimnast February 16, 2024 7:39 AM GMT
What a sad fu..er you must be if you think he is pulling a fast one.
Report FATTIEWHITEYSLOVEADRINK February 16, 2024 8:40 AM GMT
I have no sympathy for Roy  or Crystal Palace
The man shouldn’t be anywhere near
This environment with his history and age
Love of game ?
Really?Metal the club need look at there actions too
Report scandanavian_haven February 16, 2024 12:28 PM GMT
Roy's a wily old fox, wouldn't want to go out with a sacking at his home town club, it's his last job, 74 now. He's never missed a press conference in his life, amazing coincidence now though, I would hazard a guess he is unwell from the stress of it all though, who needs that kind of intense stress at that age.
Report SlippyBlue February 16, 2024 8:13 PM GMT
Not a chance in hell did R.H. dodge an interview because he didn't fancy it.
Report The Dragon February 16, 2024 8:20 PM GMT
spot on SB hes a  man with integrity
Report scandanavian_haven February 16, 2024 11:18 PM GMT
I don't believe so as well as said, I'd really say it's stress related, the suggestion was just mischievous no thing more, it's something Jose would do.

IMO it's would be daft to get rid of Roy, he's the type of manager you'd try to find to keep you up, it's gone a bit pear shaped this season because you have to bear in mind they lost Zaha this season and have lost their two best player to injury for spells in Eze and Olise, beyond that there's no many game changers in the team.
Report FATTIEWHITEYSLOVEADRINK February 16, 2024 11:33 PM GMT
His family need to be having words with him
He’s done enough more than most in game
Time to rest enjoy rest of his life doesn’t need to see Roy out on bed sheets now
Palace be ok time to say laters
Report tobermory February 17, 2024 5:15 PM GMT
Problem for Hodgson backers now is that Moyes or Kompany could go before him
Report stu February 17, 2024 7:33 PM GMT
Yup, the delay makes it questionable now. Backed at 1.01 blimey.
Report stu February 17, 2024 7:33 PM GMT
Not myself should just clarify, but in the market Grin
Report tobermory February 17, 2024 11:19 PM GMT
The 1.01 was for a fair amount by the standards of this market.

sweating now
Report SlippyBlue February 19, 2024 3:48 PM GMT
Roy Hodgson has resigned.

Paddy McCarthy & Ray Lewington will be in charge tonight for the match versus Everton.
Report SlippyBlue February 19, 2024 3:52 PM GMT
"The club can confirm that Roy is now out of hospital and doing well."

Enjoy your well deserved retirement R.H.

Report cool_hand_luke February 19, 2024 5:12 PM GMT
seems everyone knew Roy was resigning before Roy. Pushed out
Report The Dragon February 19, 2024 5:33 PM GMT
glasner has been appointed as the new manager
Report themightymac February 19, 2024 5:44 PM GMT
I hope Roy has a long and happy retirement. A credit to the game.
Report scandanavian_haven February 19, 2024 7:32 PM GMT
he didn't really resign, they told him he was going but this was the honorable way to present it, not his fault they sold Zaha and had Olise and Eze injured, the rest of the team is bang average, new manager might have a honeymoon period but they're still in danger.
Report stu February 21, 2024 12:28 AM GMT
Yes, rather beggars belief the media and most readers seemed to swallow the 'resign' story - like a massive co-incidence he resigned just as they were about to sack him almost to the same day. Grin
