Flurry of bets placed on Steve Bruce to take Republic of Ireland job

Despite the FAI confirming that Stephen Kenny will remain in the role until the end of the Euro Qualifying campaign, the former Manchester attracted a large number of bets in the space of a couple of hours moving his odds from 11/1 in to 2/1.

"With the FAI committing to Kenny until November at the earliest, we assumed things would have quietened down, but instead it seems to have triggered something and our customers willing to back Steve Bruce at any price."

The FAI have a long and dishonourable history of screwing things up but even they aren't that stupid to appoint Bruce.
They are in desparate need of money which they won't get if they are trying to get people to buy tickets for matches with Bruce in charge.

Do they only hire people with first names as surnames?
