i think he might go you know. imagine the good he could do in his own country with that wealth

he is revered in eygpt

and so he should be, superb player which the PL will miss if he goes.

Lost £3 million already by delaying his move

Unless it's back dated.

Apparently he's stalling over how much Luncheon Vouchers he's gonna get...

That's one for the oldies

If Salah goes then Liverpool would have entered the transfer window hoping to sign Bellingham and left it having sold their captain and their best player to a 4th rate league.

And got outbid by Chelsea for the Brighton player, if indeed that was a genuine bid or a moody Brighton move

£150m? snap their hands off. He's 31.
By:

When: 01 Sep 23 13:29
he will go but not in this transfer window

If Saudi really wanted him why bid so late. Think its more a publicity stunt knowing the bid would be rejected

Got the money to buy him.Don't see how this is a
publicity stunt.

they have the money but know liverpool wont sell on the last day of the transfer window with no chance of getting a replacement

Why didnt they bid in July?

When: 01 Sep 23 14:31
a lot depends on how keen Salah is to move in this window...no point keeping a player that wants out at that kind of price..

if he doesn't want to go or is indifferent at this moment then no move in all likelihood...if he likes the sound of it another 20m probably gets it done..L'pool still have decent options for the front line and probably weren't winning the PL this year..
By:
rothko
When: 01 Sep 23 14:42
yes probably winning the PL but need to qualify for CL
If they sell Salah and finish 5th or lower fans will turn on owners

I find the timing of the bid very suspicious. Seems like a Saudi plot to destabilise Liverpool thereby increasing newcastles chances of CL football
By:
rothko
When: 01 Sep 23 14:42
probably not

When: 01 Sep 23 15:44
I don't see any panic to buy a replacement this window. They have Jota and Nunez who currently can't get in the first XI plus youngsters like Elliot and Doak who have looked promising
By:
rothko
When: 01 Sep 23 15:51
Totally disagree would leave us weak for 4 competitions with any injuries in that position
Doak is promising but not ready yet
Elliott is better deeper

Being reported that the Saudi's will comeback with a £200m offer for Salah.

This is the PIF demonstrating their absolute financial power.

A $1 increase in the oil price = $Bn to the Saudis. As such, $150m pales into insignificance.

Maybe Klopp could follow suit if another similar amount offered to Liverpool. If so, the EPL and other similar outfits in Europe could be in more than a spot of bother.

Could FIFA ban these mercenary footballers from their prestigious competitions in the future similar to the PGA?
By:

When: 02 Sep 23 16:09
Spurs have been trying to offload players for years but nobody in Europe can afford them. You know they're sh*t when even the Saudi's don't want them.

No offer for Mr Southgate? I think the England FA will gladly see the back of him. It also means no compensation to Mr Southgate - a win-win scenario.

The Saudis won't stop until their league is on a par with the Premier League, La Liga & Serie A.

It didn't work for the PGA and besides the Saudis are full members of FIFA.

The Saudi League comprises a bunch of foreign football geriatrics whose game is on the decline.
