They know how to wazz off their viewers. when I did watch in it was just hopeless terribly just total pants not again. Gillette must pull the plug soon on that evidence. I'll even watch the BBC thought they were always crap they win by a short head now the laughter and spontaneity has gone what next really was awful.
was very disjointed and how many times was the camera on wrong person ?
I tuned in for a few minutes, I won't be doing so again.
wonder, being a sad old git I have a photo from ceefax when Millwall won at Hull, it says the score and Millwall are promoted!!
Neil Lennon and kris boyd should not be on it,and merson is all washed up, offers nothing, it's pretty poor nowadays

looks as though cut down on reporters at grounds too
They have M2 ....cut their football reporting staff in half, lot of longstanding people gone, some replaced by lower wage newcomers i would presume.
Anyone who thinks it's a good idea to have Neil Lennon anywhere near a microphone should be let go of as well.

This show was available on freeview a few years ago, so, assuming it gets interest from advertisers, it’s a surprise they haven’t gone for a beefier revamp, especially as they plough dollars in the direction of the spitter Carragher and others for big game punditry.
Seemed to be lots of technical glitches which meant they weren’t able to cover as many grounds. Even the dim but jocular Clinton Morrison seemed to be a bit p*ssed off when they crossed over to him: “Nothing has happened since you spoke to me very recently.”
Jeff Stelling was a graduate of the BBC and I was surprised they didn’t dip into that pool again. I would have thought John Murray would have been a good shout, but having googled him, he has the proverbial great face for radio. Connor McNamara would also be a good shout, imo.

i was a mega fan of both this and the lovejoy show but aside stelling leaving i havnt watched either all way through for about 6,7 yrs

Clinton Morrison - bang average footballer and a shocking pundit, he's what the mute button was invented for
I'd have the Guardian football weekly panel on there, Max Rushden presenting and Glendenning for starters would shake things up a bit.
The Sunday supplement was another they fecked up.
It was very enjoyable in the days of Jimmy Hill and Brian Woolnough with a panel of senior football writers.
Plenty of insight and stories with some of them having personal relationships with Wenger fergie etc.
They then went woke with women ,coloured and ethnic panellists replacing the old stalwarts.
That wouldn't have been an issue if we knew them or they were witty or insightful but alas they were dull as dishwasher.
The conversation turned to issues inside football rather than the football itself and it became unwatchable.
Ratings must have plummeted as the ditched it soon enough after.
They just can't seem to help themselves imo.

Maybe they could put an alternative anti woke panel on the red button.start off with big Ron,marsh,Andy gray ,Brazil.that would help the ratings
They have to start realising they are not cheap and the more they lose sports and serve up agenda programmes their subscription list will dwindle.
Streaming already decimating it but losing decent programmes outside of the live action just makes it so much easier to quit and save a ton a month.

As recently as about 10 years ago there's absolutely no way Clinton passes a screen test but he ticks a box now so gets on a lot of programmes.
I'm sure he's a lovely fellow but he's not tv or radio material.

Jeff Stelling was ex BBC Cleveland now BBC Tees and so is John Murray - some of you may have heard of the great late Alistair Brownlee (better than Jeff Stelling) - its a great little station for local Teesside sport and a great training ground for sports media particularly football. Nowadays the BBC in London are winding the station down and most of its presenters are not Woke enough for the National Media channels, although there is a very good female panelist/analyst at present on BBC Tees. I think dome of the female presenters/analysts have ben told to be very serious, to be taken seriously.
yes and agreed -whsat is worse is that all the panel are hopeless and irritating to a fault

Watched it for a short time today, it was dull as ditchwater.. there is no chemistry or banter between them and merson, Morrison and Dawson can hardly string a sentence together..at least Sue Smith is enthusiastic.. impossible to replace Jeff stelling but the new presenter seems lacking any charisma... thought the old show was getting a bit stale but at least it entertained and had a bit of energy..

It's gone way too PC, what's wrong with just picking the right people for the job regardless of gender, colour, creed, religion, age or sexual orientation

Just heard Jeff now has a stint on Talk-Sport radio.. I'm betting he can do that whilst still in bed...

I refused to watch it last saturday is just awful if it is all about cutting costs clearly the wrong decision sponsors don't want to be associated with tat do they.
Never watched it in my life. And I'm quite surprised that there are still so many people paying for Sky.
I did watch some of it last weekend and it was what I expected - a bit cold, stilted, lacking in emotion, like your mate reading from a screen. Merson seemes to be in his own world. Morrison tries and Sue does too, but its more like a Quest Red type production. In fact that Northern Irish fella would be a good try as a host.
Sorry to sound like an old pensioner but it was better in my day - where's Charlie, Tommo, Le Tiss they have come through the har dryer era when players only earned £1k/week and had to work as brewery reps after they stopped playing. Before that we had Frank Mclinktock, George Best, Rodney Marsh, Alan Mullery, a good mix of ex-pros and managers. Geoff Stelling knew it was not just a football services manager, but an entertainer. Not easy, but possible. Occasionally he will upset some, but you have to break some eggs to make an omlette.

Just had a thought - Neil Warnock when he retires would add a bit of colour, but I doubt they would let him on.

I agree Top3man he defo has a hard gig. Programme was ruined before he started TBF
