Hardly amateurs, most of the Darrel players will be on wages similar to mid table championship clubs

Goodwin wont survive this, Aberdeen sacked Glass for going out to Motherwell, hardly allow one of the biggest shocks in Scottish football  to pass with no reaction. Very surprised if he lasts more than the night.

I have to say that in my lifetime this is the biggest ever shock in Scottish Cup history.
Nothing to match it for me.

Just trying to work out at what level Darvel play at. They seem to be top the West of Scotland premier league and if I can add up right that is at the 6th level of Scottish football.  There will be some sad shocked people in Aberdeen tonight.

The way the pyramid in Scotland works is the west of Scotland premier champions play the south of Scotland champions and thei east of Scotland premier champions in a round Robbin with the winners going into the lowland league which is tier 5 which is aligned with the highland league also tier 5. Darvel lost in the play off last year to east of Scotland champions Tranent who have a good shot at going up this year following kelty hearts and Bonnyrigg rose who have won promotion to the football league the last 2  previous seasons. Many a 1st and second division Scottish team would struggle against the top ex junior teams who are dominating these leagues now

Not really a  true pyramid system  in Scotland, no auto promo to top tier, regionalised leagues ect ect if there was auto promo  Aberdeen would have been relegated in 2000 and falkirk promoted.

It's an add-hoc, made up as they go along pile of crap.

As for Acey tipping Aberdeen then claiming he is dogs bollacks cause BP employed him as a tanker driver.... Oh deer, where to start Laugh
