1) More enthusiastic crowd - never heard a countdown to the kick-off before. 2) Less cheating. 3) Less dissent. 4) Less timewasting. 5) Less professionalism. Which I suppose incorporates all of the above but what I'm getting at is the heady mixture of high technical ability and random accidents. 6) All of the above leads to - more justice! I can't remember one team "stealing" a result so far.
The Spanish lasses didn't take the second England goal too well, but apart from that it seems much more corinthian.
Refs are pretty good, and seem to have respect of players.
VAR has been applied, in the main, very well.
If men's euros was on I doubt I would watch much of the ladies by choice, but....

Yes. Quality is not great and nowhere near what women are capable of producing - that will improve a lot over time, as it already has over the last decade.
But in terms of sporting contests a lot of the matches are interesting and unpredictable. The rest of it should be too.

I've enjoyed it. Not least because it's very lucrative if you watch the games and ignore the pundits. For example, The pundits have really talked up the ability of some (mostly Scandinavian) countries, when in reality Denmark, Norway and, to a lesser extent, Holland were very poor teams with one "star player", and it was easy to oppose them against the four teams who have some strength in depth. If spain had been drawn against Sweden in the quarters they would also have reached the semis. Otherwise, the 4 semi-finalists would've been entirely predictable. Sweden also have one class player which, as we've seen, is not enough to win big games. And they will be knocked out tomorrow. There have also been a number of cagey games especially in the knockout or final group games, characterised by a mixture of pressure, nerves and poor technique that predictably stayed at 0-0 for more than long enough (often until HT or later) to get a good trade. Of the 2 semi-finals, the France v Germany game should be the best spectacle. And also probably another unders or 0-0 to trade. It's good to have something to watch, and bet on, in the quiet period between Wimbledon/the Open and the start of the Football Season.

I have seen 5 minutes here and there when my dads had it on and its laughable how theyre on full size pitches ffs, its cruel asking them to defend their final 3rd when they cant cover the ground to defend it thats the most noticeable thing
Saw the England goal the other night and it was pathetic theyre using full size goals as well, how can a little woman orotect her far post ?

Sonts I can't agree about the goals, from what I've seen of it, the goals would want to be twice as big and they still wouldn't score.
If it wasn't on terrestrial TV viewing figures would be abysmal.

Des Pond...disagree with your assesmeent of tonite's game...England hardly had a shot on target for much of the game and were largely outplayed....England's chances as per normal are over rated...they may well qualify for final but 1.95..nope.... 2.3 nearer the mark based mainly on home advantage

the main thing i prefer about womens game is as the op said ,there is less feigning of injury ,the game flows more as there is notthe obsession that the men have of rolling about trying to get a card for the opponent .

There are aspects that are inferior to the male game .....but as mentioned every foul in the male game is an overblown acting and feigning injury fest ...and I for one am sick of it.
