The pics claiming to be Partey training in Germany that I've seen were all debunked as being training on the 1st of July in the UK.  A Twitter journalist linked to Arsenal has said that Partey is in London and not Germany.

There are pics of Partey's Instagram account of him in Marbella 6 days ago, and that just happens to be where the allegations are said to have taken place.

I don't think they are mes. what exactly are you disgusted about? He is only accused, not charged and there is no evidence other than verbal allegations. It is not a Greenwood situation with clear identification of the player on social media and further allegations and apparent evidence of assault and allegations of threats to kill.

There is a thing called the presumption of innocence but some people like to act like judge, jury, executioner before even a charge has been laid or they've heard a shred of evidence, like they know what happened better than the cops and the people involved. You don't have a clue what actually happened.

I don't see how he can be charged with anything as reportedly he was in a relationship with one of the women and the allegations are over a year old and the other incident allegedly happened on foreign soil. Without compelling physical evidence, which doesn't seem to be present, you are nowhere near even a charge, never mind a trial or guilty verdict. If there is a charge he will be suspended, which is the proper course to take. Wind your neck in.

Emitdeb - while I've not seen it confirmed, it read to me like the old accusations were both made by just one woman.

As I said above, you don't have a clue what happened but are acting like you know more than the cops and the people involved. You don't and you don't appear to have a clue about the legalities or the procedure involved. You also seem to think there were 3 women involved when there were only 2.

There hasn't been a charge to evade or defend and there likely won't be. I know what the law is on rape as I am a qualified solicitor and the cops and the prosecution service know that it's virtually impossible to get a guilty verdict in a case which is her word against his only and that the prosecutors/cops will not proceed with a case or charge if that is all the evidence there is.

The club will not act on that alone either unless perhaps the player is identified and there is a backlash or further evidence is leaked and the club decides to distance themselves, as in Greenwood and Sigurdsson's cases (Everton sought to distance themselves after he was named in Icelandic media and because the allegation involved a minor, Greenwood's was trial by social media from the start - the UK media could never release that type of info or even name him at that stage).

Assuming the act of intercourse is not denied by the accused, you need some sort of fairly compelling physical/medical evidence or text message evidence to convince a jury of lack of consent beyond a reasonable doubt and it doesn't appear that that will arise because both complainants appear to have not reported it immediately or had a medical inspection shortly after the alleged assault. You are talking injuries to the genital area that are so serious that a jury would deem them inconsistent with consensual sex or perhaps evidence of a beating (bruising, black eye etc) and evidence of intercourse. There is also the possibility that either complainant was intoxicated to a degree that they were incapable of giving consent.

It is a very high standard of proof and very easy to raise a reasonable doubt but we are a million miles away from any of that currently, so perhaps wait until a charge at least before jumping to conclusions or calling for the club to act. Then you will know there is more to it than just a verbal allegation. If it is just a verbal allegation and neither complainant went to the cops and got medically examined shortly afterwards and no charge arises then you ought to give him the benefit of the doubt bearing mind the presumption of innocence upon which the criminal justice system is based.

If reports are to be believed, the 2021 allegations were both from a woman who he was in a relationship who he recently decided not to marry. The 2022 one is from another woman and happened in Spain relatively recently, so maybe she did report it and get medically inspected. Not sure if the UK cops can have anything to do with that one.

Wasn't aware of that convention but I don't think it's been ratified in the UK. In May they announced an intention to ratify it by end of July. But I think the sexual offences legislation already in place allows them to prosecute offences committed abroad.
