See it got the back page treatment in the Racing Post today. Also first match live on Sky tonight.

They are certainly trying to sell it.

All the same it is not for me.

Any fans of it out there?

Have never watched a women's football game and never will no matter how hard they try to shove it down our throats.

it's like youth football, maybe 13 year olds

the skill level isn't terrible

what's missing is the athleticism, speed, power etc.

and there are occasional howlers

The howler compilation videos on YouTube are entertaining though.

No, they mainly only watch the men's leagues.

The game has improved - especially man utd. utd's second goal was good  -   one side stand and one stand behind the goal completely empty though

The day I watch this let alone actually have a bet is the day the men in white coats finally come for me.

not great quality but from a betting angle 1.49 on city was a gift ,Everton never beaten city ,top 4 clubs dominate the league so often its easy pickings , as with alot of internatinal womens league , worth looking into to make some easy cash ,

That was quite funny... the Man City player has a (not hard) shot at goal.... and the slo mo replay shows the Everton defender actually move her head out of the way of the (weakish) goalbound shot

The shot hit the bar

No mention of attendances in the majority of news outlets, 741 attended Aston Villa v Leicester yesterday. Less than 1500 at Arsenal’s Champions League fixture last week. Super League, really? The BBC heralding it as a breakthough season and bemoaning the lack of VAR but the fact is that is not commercially viable as a standalone sport and never will be.

Very good post flukes.

I had no idea crowds were so poor, and the is the opening day in summer! How many paying to watch in the depths of winter?n
I suspect the entrance fee is a lot lower too. If so, then In effect they are subsidised.

Glad a few people are calling it out for what it really is---A Joke.

No problem with women playing football, but get them on the park were they belong.

Remarkable that ladies leagues
were wound up because they became
too popular and threatened
men's game.

Hard to find out what was
the attraction, back then, of
ladies football?

I find it a difficult watch, but,
like non league footy it has
its attractions.

Women's football has faced many struggles throughout its history. Although its first golden age occurred in the United Kingdom in the early 1920s, with matches attracting large crowds (one match achieved over 50,000 spectators),[3] The Football Association initiated a ban in 1921 in England that disallowed women's football games from taking place on the grounds used by its member clubs. That ban remained in effect until July 1971

when will they demand equal pay to the men

I understand in the US they get good crowds

I see arsenal have problems like most men  - they can't direct a ball below the crossbarLaugh
