After a few days off we're back for the knockout stages today...
Wales v Denmark will kick off in Amsterdam where the temperature is forecast to be a reasonable 19 degrees, with a 30% chance of rain. Humidity is high at around 79% - Ampadu (Red Card) will not be available for Wales and although absent, I've no doubt that Eriksen will be in the heart of every Danish player, otherwise no other absentees are reported.
Italy v Austria will be held at Wembley where again the temperature will be circa 19 degrees, with a 10% chance of rain and a humidity level of around 72%. Florenzi is out for the Italians and Chiellini is still a doubt. Lazaro will be absent for Austria.
Good luck with your bets and let's hope for two cracking games.

Yeah the standard of football is abysmal, i'd rank it below anything I see In Europe, Scandinavia, SA, Japan, CSL (though that's gone downhill) and the A-League.

Sure, Italy were sub-par, but on to different opponent, tactics etc. The eventual winner is bound to have a bad game. Perhaps Italy have had theirs?

Lucky Italy. International football must be pretty rubbish if a side as poor as that can go on such a long unbeaten run.
How can a striker as mediocre as Immobile knock in 25 goals a season? The defences in Serie A must be absolutely dire. I grew up watching Bettaga and Rossi. The current Italian frontline is a joke compared to those two. When they played Italian defences had a reputation of being the tightest in the world. How times change. Immobile's 25 goals would probably be the equivalent of about 5 in those days.

Have you looked at the teams they played on that run? A draw with Portugal and beat Holland 1-0 are the only decent opponents.
They were due to play friendlies with ENG and GER last year but they were cancelled. The run of easy opponents is more remarkable than the run itself.

You can only beat what's in front of you and hats off to Italy. But it's typical of the media to dress things up as something they're not and not give context.
You will hear them say 'Brentford haven't beaten Arsenal in 83 years' when they play on the first day of next season without telling you that they've only played 4 times since. They are always doing this, it's annoying.
