They want you to use twitter.
Not ideal for all, but to be fair, they are reasonably responsive if you choose to contact them through it.

Personally - I know this is not a universal view - I prefer it to the phone - I'd much rather send a screenshot, cut and paste an example or whatever than try to describe a problem I am having to a CS person who has to try to imagine what I am seeing and describing.  But that's just me - I prefer texts/emails/whatsapp to telephone calls in social life too.

Yeah, me to, but often nowadays, I suspect, the CS people aren't so clued up as they once might have been. The few times that I've contacted them, I rarely have problems, it has been resolved through the live-chat option. Don't know if that's still available.

I can probably muddle through Twitter / Facebook if I ever need to do so but give me a phone number anytime ... customer service of the past is now what it is ... a memory!

This place is my facebook/twitter and i wud never entertain signing upto either just like most of my mates despite screams of anguish from the younger brigade - and despite all the adverts these days leading towards the young crowd for their market i dare bet that the % is much more in favour of the ova 50s HappyHappyShockedShocked

Generally speaking, I find the online chat facility of most sites better than the old phone systems. No pressing a number, countless times, to get through to what I've always believed is the same person anyway. The time to get a response is usually quicker than a phone (not always, but usually) and the ability to back-up a conversation with links etc is yet another plus. Obviously, the ability to type is a prerequisite for this kind of medium, but I would assume that most people can navigate a keyboard quite quickly these days and if not, you might want to consider a very useful program for learning - Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing. If my (then) 70-year old father can learn to type then anyone can!

I think it's because Betfair no longer need customers's the new techno age , they have this money catching device high above betfair towers  taller than the Shard  , it  transforms floating atoms or airborne particles into digital currency's pretty clever stuff

The problem is the people you deal with are just messengers who pass the problem on to whoever is responsible and you will never be able to deal directly with those people. On the horseracing forum we spent months with a particular problem earlier this year and was told over and over again that the matter was being dealt with until eventually someone well connected managed to contact a person high up the chain and the problem was resolved within a couple of hours.

Just use twitter, they are competent and they don't like people giving out on there because everyone else can see it and it looks bad.

I'm not on twitter or a premium charger! I like most of my generation would rather speak to someone on the phone, even if I can use the live chat and e mail, it's more personal and things get through quicker imo.

I found the opposite with betdock, real pain in the ass to get my balance out when they shut down the site and I'd been with them for years. Hopefully they won't be as useless when it comes to withdrawing for you

I looked at the purple thing out of curiosity, fewer mkts and those they had were not so strong and that's a shame. Having said that, be careful what you wish for Nonay, bf were small once, and then they got bigger, and bigger, and........
