You would think if the away team just walked off surely the match will be settled with the home team as the winners. If the match was abandoned by the referee I would imagine the match odds market will be void

bets voided, so the lesson is - have a million quid on yourself to win. if you're losing 0-2, you've had a man sent off, you're trading on here at 1000 and there's only 10 minutes left, just walk off the pitch.
call betfair and make sure the million bets been voided. if you're winning 2-0. do not walk off the pitch. |

The official result appears to be a 2-0 home win with the game not being deemed abandoned. So Betfair should pay out accordingly

Under their rules they have to wait 3 days for the game to be finished but not where there is no intention to finish it and the result is final with the game no longer deemed abandoned. I'd say they will pay out once they get confirmation that the result is final.

Why is it corrupt? They walk off and gain nothing from it. The official result in both games was as it was when they walked off. If the bookies haven't paid out on these results then that's the corrupt part.

the official result on here at least was a void match. by walking off they gain nothing, they also lose nothing.

The official result is the final score with the game not deemed as having been abandoned. Play dumb on abandonment and say the final score was whatever and use score websites and the offical league site to back you up and look for payout. |

I got done backing a late goal in a Filipino game a while back that was abandoned with a few mins left but the league gave the final score as offical result and they let bets stand. Don't ask me what game it was but they've definitely gone with the offical result in these cases before. They can void in abandonment cases but only where the result is ABD

match void lurka as was not finished. as I've said above, huge loophole which can be expolited by these nobody teams in obscure leagues who are now seeing vast amounts of money traded, as opposed to the usual £56 or so. have a fortune on yourself (50p probably buys you a house in nicaragua), as soon as it's clear you're not going to win, just walk off. bet void. they didn't walk off in their next game, the one they won 2-0.

Liquid is good, very good at this stage, yet early indications are that players are undecided as to how this will pan out. My reading of the markets are that they are pretty sure there will be one goal, but not convinced that there will be more. |
