you would actually think they won world cup not france
By:
Croatia 36s , theres the value
By:
I shall be laying them nearer the time. No way should they be favourites.
By:
Free money laying England as even if we had the best team by miles they would never get over the line due to a weak mentality as there is a lifetime of failures since 66 our 1 and only final appearance in how many attempts ?
By:
looks like england will be seeded and if these draws run to norm,
england should get easier fixtures. might be worthy favs now, but might not be favs by time semis come around, even if they get that far. other teams bigger prices as they may have tough schedules. |
By:
France could implode before it starts, they have previous for that
I'm backing Italy as I think they are due a run |
By:
yep
sometimes pays to back the sleeper , in this case it would be Italy i think tho price isn't overly big still think Croatia 36s is way too big so will chip away |
By:
Italy for me too right now. Flawless qual record and will play some games at home. England much improved; Southgate got them better than the sum of their parts but still not as good as the likes of France and Belgium and should be a fair bit bigger.
By:
More to do with France being in Pot 2 and and both semis and the final being played at Wembley along with England's group games. France were favourites and destined for Pot 1 until Ukraine got a 90th minute equaliser in Serbia last Sunday and got the last Pot 1 place. France went from 5.5 to 6.5 after that.
By:
Quite frankly it is ridiculous that they are favs!
By:
It is ridiculous. England are beating teams they should beat very well, but that's nothing new and not where the questions will be asked of them. With France/Holland/Croatia in Pot 2 and Portugal in Pot 3 there is the potential for a Group of Death and the draw should massively affect outright prices.

By:
4th in the World Cup and they are Euro favourites.
The Euros are easier, so England will get to the final. ![]() |
By:
people confusing favourites and chances of winning.
shameful for a gambling forum . sharp minds eh? ![]() |

Croatia second in world cup ...36s , go figure

By:
Yes Belgium, Russia, Denmark will be in one group and Ukraine and Holland will be in another. That's all that's certain so far. The rest of the draw will be made on 30 November.

How are France only 2nd seeds they are World champions and qualified quite easily from there group ? does anyone know how UEFA work out the seedings as is it purely based on past UEFA tournaments and qualifying with the World cup only 18 months previous counting for very little in there seeding criteria.
By:
the seedings were worked out from the the qualifying results for this event.
belguim away to russia and denmark, if i read this right, france , poland, croatia and switzerland will be away to the number 1 seeds in their groups...and could be away to a playoff qualifier if in their qroup as well. could also get portugal |
By:
Points and goal difference against the other teams in your qualification group not including the 6th team, if applicable.

By:
Clearer favs now. Group of Death with Germany, France and Portugal being the reason
By:
We've been given no gimme either
Italy and Croatia are no fools |
By:
Belgium being backed now. Almost same price as England
By:
I think there are better bets than England but don't see how it is a joke that they are favs, considering they could play most of the tournament at Wembley.
There are question marks against all the usual candidates for favourites. France were actually awful in qualifying, and, tbh I was not impressed with them in the World Cup either. On paper they should be out in front but they are less than the sum of their parts. In the WC it was mostly a defensive approach with good aerial ability defending/attacking set pieces. There was no midfield creativity, just Mbappe and Griezzeman breakaways. There are 4 or 5 nations with better players than Germany now. Holland struggled to break down N Ireland. Italy were good in qualifying but don't have many players the biggest clubs would be looking to sign. |
By:
France seem to do it all in first gear
Do they have a higher gear when challenged ? The basically won the World Cup on the snaff ![]() |
By:
Group A: Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Wales
Group B: Belgium, Russia, Denmark, Finland Group C: Ukraine, Netherlands, Austria, Path D/A* Group D: England, Croatia, Czech Republic, Path C** Group E: Spain, Poland, Sweden, Path B*** Group F: Germany, France, Portugal, Path A/D* *Iceland, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary / Georgia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Belarus **Scotland, Israel, Norway, Serbia ***Slovakia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland |

I wouldn't assume Wembley will be an advantage for England against the better technical sides in KO matches. They have a fairly inexperienced squad and manager and there will be huge pressure and expectation on them which could just as easily work against them. It's not like Euro 96, this squad do not have them same creative quality as the top sides and have been generally outplayed by them. The better sides don't fear them, they actually relish playing them and even moreso at Wembley.
By:
I thought England got Italy and Wales as well because the BBC misspelled on their headline
![]() We got Czech and Serbia as the other 2 Really should be qualifying out of that group really |
By:
Euro 96 was fun
If not Paul Gascoigne we'd have won it, how the heck he didn't get to that will always remain one of my lifes mysteries |
By:
England (or Belgians) should be favourites imo... France as dodgy as fook at the minute
By:
besides France in a real tough group ...Belgium/Angleterre group far easier imhaho
By:
By:
Should beat the Czechs and the other team coming through the playoffs
Croatia is a coin flip, depends if they have a fit Modric (even then he's nearing his mid 30s) Could win the group and still get a tough last 16 tie I think this 24 team format is a joke by the way, absolutely no need for it and its overkill |
By:
England are not great but home versus Croatia will be big favs.
By:
Southgate should try get Grealish involved and into the squad. He would offer something different especially against the better teams. Would be a good option from the bench where a goal is needed or if they are struggling creatively. If he keeps playing well he'll have to bring him
By:
Surprised Grealish hasn't been in more before now really
Some are saying Will Hughes at Watford, He's pants and overrated so should nowhere near the squad, he was always easily nullified when we played Derby in the Championship, he's lightweight and easily bullied, hence Watford struggling with him as their main playmaker |
By:
England haven't had a CM/AM that can carry the ball and beat players the way Grealsih can since Gazza
By:
Most fouled player in the PL by a mile. More chances created than any other English midfielder. More goals and assists than any other English midfielder. More blocks than any other midfielder!
And he's missed a couple of games through injury |
By:
quite often he is fouled before the tackle comes in...
By:
England are dangerous at set pieces too, especially Kane looking for a penalty every time, another advantage Grealish might give them. France won the World Cup looking for free kicks around the box in the tighter games v Uruguay and Belgium. They weren't even trying to score a lot of the time, just to draw fouls.
