Is it safe to leave 10K in your betfair account or is it better to deposit and withdraw on a regular basis. I used to have bigger sums in my account but after hearing about online fraud etc I usually leave no more than 1K in, and often less than this.

I'd enable the two step authentication if you haven't already, that adds another layer of protection
I'm with Pazan - enable 2FA and then I'd have no concerns.
