hello :-) 25 Oct 19 23:09
man city , pool have great depth to cope with it as they did last year with ease the Brendan bubble will soon burst You have to laugh on here sometimes. It takes me back to the season Leicester won the title and people said it would all be over by Christmas then they said they must all be on drugs and finally that other teams were letting them win. Leicester won it by 10 points and Rainieri was still a mug. ![]() |

Odds will be better if Vardy gets injured/suspended. He is their only striker.
By:
2 big problems with that, Liverpool and City
Though must have a decent chance of top 4 13/8 on here not quite tempting enough |
By:
It always amuses me when people assume that last years form in any sport is much guide to this year. Japan and England Rugby, now Leicester. The form to look at is the last results.

By:
The OP is saying he thinks Leicester are a decent bet at 100/1.
And people responding with "ah, but Liverpool and City ( both around Evens) are more likely to win" ![]() |

still in the hunt

20/1 now!, they're out performing Leicester 2015/16, 3 more points after 15 games, +15 better goal difference.
By:
However Liverpool is outperforming any previous winner

Those big city boys getting worried again.

Excellent team to watch, seem to be a very well balanced team, with many talented players in the squad.
By:
most bookies now 14/1, they have a banker home match v Norwich next week, should be 4 or 5-0.
By:
I like Leicester and they are doing well I think their home form might be the stumbling block

Only just realised that Leicester have a superior goal difference.

that 0-9 helped

just seen 1000/1 mtched for leicester at the start .... i wouldn'ty have been a taker but vcertainly not a layer either ....no lessons learnt from back in the year 2016

One rather big difference between this season and 2016 though.
That was the poorest season for many and Leics won with the lowest points total in all but one of the last 20 odd years. This Liverpool team is different gravy - can't see Leicester finishing any closer than they are now and more likely double that behind come May. |
By:
4th lowest, United in 2011, 2001 and 99 less than Leicester's 81 points.
imo this Liverpool team are 1 key injury away from losing the big lead they have, mostly Van Dijk, there's no such replacement for a him. |
By:
the team that finished second - arsenal i'm pretty sure pipped spurs - must have had the lowest points for a 2/placed team
By:
Arsenal (71)
Arsenal in 2001 got fewer (70) Chelsea (and Man City in third) both got the same in 2011. |
By:
There may be others but just looked at the examples from above seasons.

thanks Bantam ...and an extra star mark for using (fewer) rather than the common as shyte (less)

By:
Newcastle in 1997 had 68 points as Runners up
By:
excellent darren
any advances on 68 anyone ? ![]() |
By:
In seasons where it's been 20 team leagues, 38 games and 3 points for a win, I think 68 would be the lowest points total for runners up, but go further back when it was 22/24 team leagues which it was for many years then there may have been quite a few runners up with less than 68 even with the 2-4 extra games as it would have been 2 points for a win rather than 3 til 1981.
By:
yeah i suppose you'd have a fair few prior to the 3 points

Without looking it up I'd be surprised if a title winning team ever got 68pts under 2 for a win, never mind runners up, so it's hardly worth comparing that era for pts totals. |

Once. Liverpool set the record at 68 points in 1979 (and that was 42 games not 38). You can't really compare anything pre-1981 to post-1981. |
By:
you sort of can if you relay all of those league tables to 3 points for a win, though of course they were 42 game seasons

By:
going to be an interesting team sheet for leicesters league cup q/f away to everton (3 days before the man city game)
By:
By:
sure to be a tough game against everton and they'll need their best players all buzzed up, its sort of leicesters edges that they dont play much midweek over the other top teams all playing in europe, think brendan will go with his best team though
By:
they should be fresh enough ... the poor darlings
