In a game at the home of the notoriously rowdy 'dog pound' cleveland brown fans, the on field officials decided to overturn a 4th down conversion by the home team.
The opponent jacksonville jags got the ball.
Cue the hurling of hundreds of (empty) beer bottles onto the playing field...

Other than still producing iffy decisions and taking far too long VAR has been a terrific innovation.
What was Neville saying to the Cameroon coach straight after the match? It didn't seem to mirror his post match comments.
England lucky that not too much has been said about how they actually played. They couldn't have asked for a much easier draw to reach the quarter finals.

Phil was one place worse than the last fella who had no top level playing experience but probably made up for it by being more hands on.
Neville built his team around two one paced center backs and jill scott who makes nemanja matic look like usain bolt. And then asked them to pass the ball out of defence against the states.

Neville has had a wonderful array of forward talent in toni duggan, fran kirby, nikita paris and ellen white at his disposal and has failed to build the team around them.
Quite frankly the number of times ellen white has got him out of trouble this world cup he is the luckiest coach in the tournament.
Got to wonder how Sampson would have got on in his stead. Probably not a lot worse.
And against the states Sampsons brand of hoof ball could well have been just what the doctor ordered.
