I have been comparing Betfair stats to 365, and they often differ massively.  I decided then to compare Betfair, 365, and Hills, and all of them were different so still none the wiser as to who is the most accurate.  I will give Betmaid a try and see how I get on with that.  Thanks for the reply guys :)

ive found 365 & sofascore to be the most reliable on the major leagues, sofascore also has a ratings graph to gauge how much or little a team is attacking

Here is one site that provides downloadable data, updated twice per week.

https://www.football-data.co.uk/data.php

As to whether it is more or less accurate than other sources, I couldn't really provide an informed opinion, as to do so you would require to have actual data which is the heart of the problem.

This data is, of course, provided after the fact.

As to live data, you need to remember that this is being provided by a small number of firms who provide such a service through the deployment of data scouts who are at the relevant match.

As such, each user of these data scout services is effectively being fed the same raw data stream.

Any difference in how the stats are then reported will be as a result of how they use this raw data and the software that interprets the data and provides the visual displays.

There was a thread a wee while back that included input from someone who works as a data scout.
It was very interesting as he was able to tell us that there are much more nuanced data captures than you typically see displayed.

For example, there were queries in regard to "dangerous attacks".
He went on to tell us that data is not captured as simply as that, there are many more data capture categories than you typically see displayed.

As such, there will be variations as a result of the distinct mapping process employed by individual bookmakers for their individual software and visual display.
