But this is what everyone was asking for!... You cant play this way with our players and expect to win Premier Leagues. imo.

Well done Em ,citeh not smashed but certainly dented ,villa definitely smashed.
If they can beat City again in the league, the other games this month are not that terrifying although it is the lower placed teams that Spurs struggle with.
How does he persevere with Richarlison? Total waste of time.
I agree, but Richarlison isn't an issue, yet again (injury). My biggest gripe is Werner; may have scored midweek, but he's missed so many from the same position. Shouldn't be near the team.
He keeps getting into those situations.. I'd persevere a little longer.

re Werner - though he is a frustrating player he doesn't half set the tone for the press and counter press which is why Ange probably loves him..try playing the current Spurs way with Rashford doing some of the key pressing..

This is not sustainable, is it. Five losses already and it's still only early November. Ange's tactical naïveté is still the most pressing concern.
We are in need of a new manager, we were sussed last season, Ipswich went down our right side which is notoriously weak.
Their goalkeeper made ten catches because we made it easy for him.
Every man and his dog employ a video analysis, but any ten bob observer would know our habitual weaknesses.
Even our attack has been sussed, apparently on PlayStation the wingers putting balls to the far post is known as the J.. ball!
I read that R Madrid wanted Porro he's no good, prefers playing centre forward then right back, but then that's Postecoglou's
system which is rubbish.
Our away record is appalling, but now the home record isn't so clever. We've had "easy" opposition now it's difficult
games which the manager won't survive at Christmas.

Agreed Fig. My main gripe is conceding in almost every game, that's not a coincidence. His system may work at his previous clubs, but this is arguably the best league in the world where all systems are microscopically analysed in order to defeat it. We had to beat Ipswich for me to stay mum, but that defeat, following the Palace defeat, is the final straw. City next, win or lose, I'm past caring. Only an incredible run will get me back onboard now. I just don't see it happening.

This football club is completely ludicrous. Must admit I was expecting a backlash and and an easy win for City today (guess I was still traumatised from the Ipswich disaster). Who knows if they can follow it up with a win at home to Fulham next weekend. Anyway, COYS.

No Romero and Micky VDV playing as midfielders with Romero poncing about wondering who to pass to.
I'm HOPING that the penny has dropped for Postecoglou, but IF it has it's about time.
I've maintained all along that we've got the players, it's just the bloody tactics that are wrong.
It's no good going 2-0 down to a team that parks the bus, City like most top teams (not Villa) play proper attacking football
giving us a chance, IF and it's a big IF we play that way in future without inverted full backs and CBs in their proper position

Yes, that is disastrous. Frazer Forster or Brandon Austin (who's never started a PL game) are very low quality replacements in this system.
Forster has looked nervous in one or two games, but has improved. If he can gain a bit of confidence, he could be an able replacement.

I'm with you fig; I'm struggling with him. Nice attractive football at times, but then he swaps Son for a dipsh*t who's had probably 2 good games and countless bad games. Some say he helps our team (Werner I'm talking about) but I just can't see it. He is NOT a Premier League footballer.
The only sub he got right was taking Bentancur off as he was becoming a liability and was fortunate not to get 2 yellows, let along a straight red!

I think it's time for this guy to go. I'm happy to see out the season with him and enjoy the ups and down, but it is not top class football and some of his decisions are mind-boggling. I'm also happy to eat my words if he turns it around, but we've had a few seasons of this BS and we need to draw a line under it. 1 point, at home, against Ipswich and Fulham is enough for me.

That was a rant and a half, but it isn't only set pieces; in open play teams are getting through us with ease. The guy is clueless at this level, time to move on MATE!

Always got an excuse our Ange, but there is no hiding the fact that we are exposed at the back and in a league of this magnitude, teams will take full advantage. See out the season by all means and if you can't work out your own shortcomings, it's time to go back to the minors.
Probably no point getting rid of him now (unless relegation becomes a possibility) and starting all over again with a new manager. The league campaign is a write-off already. Let's see what he can do in the cups.

Turns out Pochettino was by far the best we've had. He somehow managed to make us exciting and competitive. Perhaps we need to go backwards to go forward again. Will Levy pay for a phone call to the States I wonder?
I'd forgotten about Poch. I'd take him back after Ange is inevitable fired. He's failed badly since he left Spurs though. Maybe he's not a good manager, just a good Spurs manager.
Poch is at his best with players he can improve; he's not suited to the big clubs like PSG who have money to buy the best who don't really need improving. Well suited to us.

AND... being an ex international defender I think he knows a thing or two in that department!
Debateable. At Soton he was great at bringing through or improving players and the same at Spurs. Put him in the right club and he will improve them.
Ange reminds me of late stage Wenger at Arsenal. The whole league knows he has only one tactic and can set up to pick him off because he told them that after Chelsea last year.
Even when he loses guys like Romero and/or VDV, who are vital for him to play a high line, he still plays a high line. Every one of his defenders and keeper have a mug mistake in them.
He plays Forster who is a good keeper but awful with his feet and tries to play out against Bournemouth and Chelsea, who are know high pressers and licking their lips at a weakened Spurs playing it out with unsuitable players but still no change in tac. A flawed and subborn philosophy like late stage Wenger only a level or two below.
