How bad are Young Boys? I have them as about the same level as Watford, but Utd are over 20 ticks shorter than vs Watford at the weekend.
Report rommel September 19, 2018 10:12 AM BST
waltzing the swiss lge by 8 points, but if anyhting might trip utds imperious march to the final its the artificial pitch
Report n88uk September 19, 2018 10:15 AM BST
They've also lost 2 games since December last year, all against average opposition of course, but it's still quite a record.

I've laid Juventus and Plzen in today's prices. Utd's price being bad probs jumps out most from the rest, but I can't claim to really know much about Young Boys, maybe they are super bad, but Utd have not looked at all convincing this season except for the Burnley game, Young Boys will have to be really bad for you to be confident backing Utd at this price.
Report n88uk September 19, 2018 10:17 AM BST
Juventus have looked very average and lacking balance in the team so far this season, don't see how anyone is backing them odds on away to Valencia.
Report REDUNDANT PUNTER September 19, 2018 10:17 AM BST
Would take youngboys to win this one unbeaten in six games scoring 18 times home advantage synthetic pitch young athletic squad

Up against a physical robust opposition who tend to conceede have been in mixed form

Not sure of the strength of their domestic league but away wins in Europe aren't always easy to come by

United may have to much physicality for them but they could play better than their price intimates imo
Report n88uk September 19, 2018 10:21 AM BST
The only thing that really puts me off from laying Utd atm is Young Boys record in Europe last year was pretty bad.
Report JC1326 September 19, 2018 11:04 AM BST
There was another Young Boys fred, OP, and it was more amusing than this one
Report Platini September 19, 2018 1:45 PM BST
Juve's away record is not that great in the CL (esp in group stage). However, I'm not sure I'd want to be laying them with Ronnie in the side now, and chasing down Messi (who's already 3 goals up) for this seasons CL goalscorer glory. Whats his record like at the Mestalla?   I reckon its a match Juve won't lose.
Report tobermory September 19, 2018 5:19 PM BST
Whats his record like at the Mestalla?

Real couldn't win there when Gary Nev was manager !
Report tobermory September 19, 2018 5:22 PM BST
City I expect 2-0 up in 20 minutes and coasting rest of the night. United win 1-0 with a goal off Fellaini's knee at a set piece scramble.

Can't be bothered watching either while Real Madrid v Roma is on. Reading v Norwich probably a better option than United game.

Can't have Bayern at all. They badly need some youth to help out that ageing squad. Unless they go on a January spending spree, I don't see them as potential winners.

Barca, Juve, Liverpool.

I'm ruling out Madrid purely on the law of averages - 4 in a row would be ridiculous. Can't happen, surely ?
Report lurka September 20, 2018 3:37 PM BST
If Ronny leaving means Real make full use of Bale and play to his strengths, they could be even better this year. Also noteworthy that Isco scored a great free kick last night. Ronny had an awful free-kick record and I'd say there's at least 2 or 3 players in that team better at them than he was.

Have to agree about Bayern.  Old team and they almost always choke when it comes to squeaky bum time.

City aren't firing on all cylinders yet, and obviously miss KDB. Assuming they get out of the group they will be a different proposition after Christmas so a bit early to be writing them off just yet. As for my pick, I've backed Barcelona and had a bit on Atletico (as they'll be at home in the final if they can get there) Happy
Report wisewords September 20, 2018 10:00 PM BST
would love to see Atletico do it, but they seem to be beginning to struggle defensively after being rock solid for many years
