He had a good record in his previous spell as manager,press making excuses for recent defeats being

Didnt see the game, saw the goals though.
Pretty much all of them came from trying to play from out the back. Quick turn over and bingo. You can make up your own mind on that. Either the allardyce approach, ie its utter madness to attempt that style of football against a team like the belgiums.. Or what gary neville said about unai emery. Thats the way he wants to play and it is going to take time to implement the system. Im with big sam on this one.. |

Belgium were the best team at the World Cup, a team full of stars in their prime, Scotland haven't qualified for any tournament for 20 years, this is an expected result....it's like the equivalent of Real Madrid playing Aldershot, so I wouldn't be to harsh on them, though they have made a very uninspiring choice of manager, but who else of real calibre would take over a job on a small salary? There's hope for Scotland however if a similar sized country, population wise, such as Croatia can produce quality players, good enough to get to a World Cup final.
