Wiltshire gave 100% , Rice is better playing deeper so was always gonna struggle .
Of the new signings , Anderson and Yarmalenko showed glimpses but will take a few games to get used to the pace of the Premier League and Balbuena whilst solid isn't the quickest which may be a problem against teams with the speed and movement of Liverpool .Fredericks looks a decent purchase and Fabianski did well to keep the score down .
Can't judge us on one game against the CL runners up , but need to kick start our season with a win v Bournemouth . COYI

Was surprised to see after all the money spent that Noble was still first choice, do West Ham really have no better options? The tactics were awful anyway, playing with a high line is exactly what Liverpool want.

A little harsh to make any judgement after 90 minutes of football...!

Especially against one of the teams likely to be fighting it out at the top end of the table for most of the season, no idea how your new signings will fare or how long it will take them to amalgamate into the team your manager wants, keeper played well though and as with many teams your season will be dictated by how you get on in the matches with fellow middle of the table teams, win them and you finish between 7th and 10th, lose them and you end up 11th to 14th, will be most surprised if you lose to the relegation zone sides and those points alone will virtually guarantee premiership survival.

Early days to be jumping to conclusions but having spent around £100 million I would expect to finish in the top half of the table.
A failure to do that would not look good considering the previous manager dragged the team out of the relegation zone to finish 13th. Regarding the Liverpool game defensively we were naive and you would have to be concerned of the obvious failings there but the Bournemouth game will tell us much more.

Anderson struggled with the pace. Don't think he could quite believe it.

Holding the 18 yard line was embarrassing and makes me very nervous about MP. It was scandalous.

Snodgrass looked good when he came on. The club has had 3 years to address the holding midfield position and we're still waiting. Sanchez looks like a desperate gamble at the 11th hour.

£50 plus booking fee for Bournemouth. Why?

I agree with your second line but have no idea what the first line refers to.

You could be us (Forest) and be out of the top division for 20 years, and the only highlight in the season is a match against your local rivals Cry

They are getting beat by 10 men Wimbledon. That`s not good enough for their loyal fans.

5/4 to bet with half an hour to go. Surely they will win but I couldn`t bet them at that price to beat anybody.

Hernandez just missed a sitter from 4yds out Shocked

Moyes got us out of the relegation zone to finish in mid table and should have been allowed to carry on. But no everyone moaning about boring play and wanting to play like Brazil every week with an ordinary squad of players at his disposal.

A tough watch today. Traore always likely to kill us late on and thanks to Sanchez he got his chance.

We're a team of strangers, created very little and didn't look interested. The passing was shocking, Anderson looked bored and Arnie sulked. The keeper was arguably MOTM again. Theirs read a book leaning against his post..

I'll be surprised if we stay up.

Decent atmosphere, shame about the fire at St Pancras leading to a longer trip home.
