Focus should be on getting rid of the big wage dross
Top of the exit list should be the over rated rubbish like Keane, Walcott, Mirallas (Fiorientinas coach confirmed they wont be signing him so why continue with the loan where we are paying 25% of his wages?), Tosun, Baines, Schniderlin and McCarthy
All either past it and/or completely over rated, all are on big wages.

He is playing way better football than under Alladyce, getting results and points.
We have a clear pattern of play, clear pressing points. We are organised at the back, have good in game management, are fit/strong, up for it, creative and tenacious in midfield and look like scoring up front.
We ARE progressing.
How could anyone want him out.He is playing way better football than under Alladyce, getting results and points. We have a clear pattern of play, clear pressing points. We are organised at the back, have good in game management, are fit/strong, up fo
We just need 16 new players and send Silva and his mates on a quick BTECH course in sports management.
If that is put in place we may finish top 10 next season.

The conditions (whatever that means) may be OK but this team, this attacking unit, this defensive setup and match to match tactics are woeful.
There are no obvious signs of any improvement.
Please don't excuse this by telling me we're playing better football.
It's a good job we've secured 33 pts already.

Everton make me laugh. You are 2 places below from the max position you can achieve and ye want the manager sacked.
a boat load of players brought in over the summer but they will take time to blend and settle.
Tosun sums it up.....ye sign him for £27m and within a week, Allardyce is running him down in the media and not playing him. Hes a decent player who with decent coaching could do well but no Everton pi55 away £27m
tinpot club

I'm not saying Silva should be sacked. I want him to be a success but as you say "with decent coaching"... that's just it, is he a decent coach? Can he get the best out of players? It doesn't look like it, does it?
It wouldn't happen in a million years but I'd have Allardyce back and make him Head defensive coach because, judging Silvas record at Hull and Watford, he seems to have a problem organising his defences. How many goals have his teams shipped?
How many goals from set pieces alone have we let in?
As Jenas said on MOTD ... Everton are now unrecognisable. Who's responsible for that? Moshiri, the players or Silva?
How much time do professional athletes need to settle in and blend?
They seem to settle and blend at every other club irrespective of the numbers involved.
If you consider Everton tinpot then it doesn't say much for the 82 below them.
Anyway COYB.

The best we can finish is 7th and with the remaining home fixtures we have it is highly unlikely we will finish 7th. Would we take the loss against city and hope the 3 points go some way to preventing 'the scum' winning the league. It is going to be unconfortable viewing no matter what. I think a good performance but a loss by the odd goal could be acceptable. The thought of beating city and 'the scum' going on to win the league is not sitting well with me. What do other Evertonians think about this?

Personally, if we can't win the league, I couldn't give a rats @rse who does win it.
If Liverpool win it, fine. Who gives a fwck. But this incessant green eyed jealousy about their achievements is one of the reasons Everton have struggled over the years. We seemed more concerned about them than us.

Were you born or brought up anywhere near merseyside? Do you know the histories and politics of the clubs, especially since 1985?
If not then go and do a bit of research and stop embarassing yourself.
It would be a complete disaster for Everton football club and their local fanbase if the Kopites won the league END OF.

I'm arguing with a ****... but I've seen most Everton home games and a shed load of away games since 1962. Don't give me that holier than thou bullsh1t.

Zouma yes. Gomes if he can hold his good form through a season would be a great buy but I would imagine expensive. Improving Gana’s Contract and keeping hold of him is a must for me.

I was told a few weeks ago both deals are agreed in regard to wages - if they can stay. Gomes is complicated due to Barcelona's position. Zouma doesn't know but he has informed his agent to express his desire to move. Gana has a gentleman's agreement with us to go to PSG for an agreed fee (if they still want him in the summer) - that fee isn't available to other teams. Gana is happy that scenario with the possibility of him signing an improved deal with us not out of the question but he really wants the move.
Morgan, Oumar, Tosun and Kenny expected to leave.
Fergie is still putting cones out.

15 according to todays mail on sundayhttps://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7044749/Everton-planning-summer-clear-15-players-set-leave.html
Looking forward to the season. Hopefully some class incoming players. At least it seems the click bait sites are linking us with decent young players instead of free transfers and over the hill players of yesteryear.

tyrone mings was immense for villa on loan, if no joy with zouma then he could be a good left footed center back option. but we have a lot of dead wood to sell, disappointing no progress on that front

Everton negotiations with Daniel Sturridge all but over as they are too far apart on his wages and contract length.
Sturridge’s Agent wants 3 year deal and £130k a week; Everton want 2 year deal with 3rd year optional and don’t want to give him more than £80k a week basic, they want his wages to be dependent on an appearance boys as concerns around long term fitness and general attitude which can poison the dressing room.
Surely Everton must have other striker targets beyond Sturridge !?

Iwobi has always had massive potential. He can do great things then very poor things. He attacks defenders in a very direct way, is capable of seeing and executing defence splitting passes. If his head can be sorted in terms of confidence and calming his tendency to rush his passes and finishing he could still be a top quality player and a fantastic signing for you.
Some other Arsenal have an opposite viewpoint of course ^

Fine margins, good luck to him. Wenger showed a lot if faith in so many of his players. Sometimes players need to be put under pressure and challenged. Fair play to Iwobi for wanting to play.

Hmmmm, after a month or more of being off the forum it appears I can now post again but had to change my user name, i see all my old posts have been removed which makes some of the conversations on here look a bit odd ?
They told me my account had been compromised so they closed down my old account and i had to set up another and my forum details went with the old account.
Oh well, not a lot to say, only having 19 and not 22 or 23 away credits means I'm not going to Lincoln.
Hope he plays a strong team with just the very obvious replacements stepping in, no need for a second choice goalie, etc.

I think they decided it hadn’t been compromised but not really sure, all very odd.
Happy with our summer and start. Villa was disappointing but let’s see where we’re looking come December.

DCL making big strides, Holgate had a good game out of position, if nothing else DF has them giving their all and in the main keeping their shape. Should be giving 100% every game no matter who's manager, but if they're not it's up to the manager to change things and Silva didn't seem to be doing that. Hopefully a couple from sick bay back on Weds.

40 odd games since we won away against one of the “BIG 6” and we finally do it and the eldest and I weren’t there to witness it but still feels nice.
Didn’t watch it as I was at work but saw bits on me phone whilst listening to the radio commentary and you had to be impressed compared to the depressing dross at the end of last season.
