Focus should be on getting rid of the big wage dross
Top of the exit list should be the over rated rubbish like Keane, Walcott, Mirallas (Fiorientinas coach confirmed they wont be signing him so why continue with the loan where we are paying 25% of his wages?), Tosun, Baines, Schniderlin and McCarthy
All either past it and/or completely over rated, all are on big wages.

Dav,if silva don't put our strongest team out today (and I don't think he knows what it is) it wont be just the players looking for a new club !
How could anyone want him out.
He is playing way better football than under Alladyce, getting results and points.
We have a clear pattern of play, clear pressing points. We are organised at the back, have good in game management, are fit/strong, up for it, creative and tenacious in midfield and look like scoring up front.
We ARE progressing.

The conditions (whatever that means) may be OK but this team, this attacking unit, this defensive setup and match to match tactics are woeful.

Everton make me laugh. You are 2 places below from the max position you can achieve and ye want the manager sacked.

I'm not saying Silva should be sacked. I want him to be a success but as you say "with decent coaching"... that's just it, is he a decent coach? Can he get the best out of players? It doesn't look like it, does it?

How do we all feel about the match on wednesday night?
The best we can finish is 7th and with the remaining home fixtures we have it is highly unlikely we will finish 7th. Would we take the loss against city and hope the 3 points go some way to preventing 'the scum' winning the league. It is going to be unconfortable viewing no matter what. I think a good performance but a loss by the odd goal could be acceptable. The thought of beating city and 'the scum' going on to win the league is not sitting well with me. What do other Evertonians think about this?
I always want us to win every game, but wont be disappointed if we lost.
Personally, if we can't win the league, I couldn't give a rats @rse who does win it.

I would of gone with Davies, i think the whole forum is dying,Zouma has had a good season, depends how much the pensioners want for him .

I was told a few weeks ago both deals are agreed in regard to wages - if they can stay. Gomes is complicated due to Barcelona's position. Zouma doesn't know but he has informed his agent to express his desire to move.
Gana has a gentleman's agreement with us to go to PSG for an agreed fee (if they still want him in the summer) - that fee isn't available to other teams. Gana is happy that scenario with the possibility of him signing an improved deal with us not out of the question but he really wants the move.

tyrone mings was immense for villa on loan, if no joy with zouma then he could be a good left footed center back option. but we have a lot of dead wood to sell, disappointing no progress on that front

Sturridge’s Agent wants 3 year deal and £130k a week; Everton want 2 year deal with 3rd year optional and don’t want to give him more than £80k a week basic, they want his wages to be dependent on an appearance boys as concerns around long term fitness and general attitude which can poison the dressing room.

Iwobi has always had massive potential. He can do great things then very poor things. He attacks defenders in a very direct way, is capable of seeing and executing defence splitting passes.
If his head can be sorted in terms of confidence and calming his tendency to rush his passes and finishing he could still be a top quality player and a fantastic signing for you.

Fine margins, good luck to him. Wenger showed a lot if faith in so many of his players. Sometimes players need to be put under pressure and challenged. Fair play to Iwobi for wanting to play.

Hmmmm, after a month or more of being off the forum it appears I can now post again but had to change my user name, i see all my old posts have been removed which makes some of the conversations on here look a bit odd ?
They told me my account had been compromised so they closed down my old account and i had to set up another and my forum details went with the old account.
Oh well, not a lot to say, only having 19 and not 22 or 23 away credits means I'm not going to Lincoln.
Hope he plays a strong team with just the very obvious replacements stepping in, no need for a second choice goalie, etc.

Theo Walcott agent has informed the club he will see out his contract and is not interested in a move abroad, rumour is Fiorentina have made an enquiry.
