For the record I thoroughly enjoyed watching MY COUNTRY playing in the World Cup (remember what that feels like?), with the added bonus of knowing that every scot on these threads was ABSOLUTELY SEETHING through the entirety of it!

Most Scots were probably laughing their heads off when we beat two pub teams and lost to a reserve side then said we were going to win it before being put in our place deservedly by the first half decent team we played.

Dirk looks like he's close to a full on nervous breakdown.

I'm just glad some of the Scots had some happy sporting news over a barren summer, with England FINALLY exiting the World Cup. To be fair I actually didn't give England a 2nd thought for the World Cup until the dream route to the semi opened up. I did make a nice profit on Croatia to qualify @2.56 though so thanks to all the delusional Englanders for thinking you are something you clearly aren't.

Watching England get knocked out while making money on it was just lovely. Not sure what was better then money or listening to Clive Tyldsley when big Mario slotted the winner in.

I must admit I made a right few quid laying England outright.

All joking aside getting to a World Cup semi is a great achievement even if it was a fairly easy route to get there. I quite like Southgate but part of me thinks he is still too nice. Croatia were willing to really stick the boot in but England don't seem to have that nasty side to their game yet. Midfield seemed too nicey nice for me.

They need a Souness type player, no doubt about it.
