He said he won't be retiring, so presumably he has had another offer to leave Arsenal before then end of his contract.

So where will he be next season?

He's only leaving because he's been promised another job, if he has Arsenals best interest at heart he would have gone three years ago, he's not going not going for their sake, the thought of retirement probably scares him to death so  I suspect  the offer of another decent job instead of clinging on by his fingernails is probably  slightly more preferable.
