I kept receiving money off vouchers for doing an online shop, £12.00 for a £50+ order so I decided to take advantage. The shopping arrived, everything well in date and not a solitary think missing or replaced with an alternative. Good start but even better than that I got another £10 off voucher for my next £50 shop.

Tomorrow my 4th or 5th shop is on its way and I'm still getting £10 off my next online shop every time (so far)

That just has to be value for money!

I've also taken advantage of their Tue/Wed/Thur pass for £30 per year with all deliveries over £40 free. Considering I'm doing a fortnightly shop I'm paying just over £1 on average... my petrol costs more than that!

No brainer or am I missing something?

Suffice to say I am always stocked up on munchies for the weekend live footy!
Report Deptford March 19, 2018 9:15 PM GMT
When you first order online with them, you get discount on first 5 shops
Report Aspro March 19, 2018 9:36 PM GMT
Ahhh, that might end with the next one then. I'll keep an eye on that but still worth it at the outset
Report sparrow March 19, 2018 9:38 PM GMT
Do you get a discount on Aspro, Aspro?
Report Aspro March 19, 2018 9:38 PM GMT
Does it still exist? (I barely do Laugh)

You need a prescription? Always over-the-counter back in the day.

Best thing to take after having tonsils out though
Report donny osmond March 19, 2018 9:52 PM GMT
sainsburys often give a discount off instore shopping 10-15%

this is based on how much you spend

usually its a bit more than your usual shop to get a voucher next time

often we get 4 or 5 or 6 vouchers in a row

we get online vouchers too, but never used them

once the instore vouchers dry up we go shop elsewhere for month or so...

on return to sainsbury the discount vouchers return..hurray!

will the online vouchers return if you give them a break ?
Report sparrow March 19, 2018 9:53 PM GMT
I think it's a prescription due to the maximum strength.
Report donny osmond March 19, 2018 9:55 PM GMT
they all seem to give vouchers before christmas too

dont spend too much and you get a better offer,
Report Aspro March 19, 2018 9:56 PM GMT
£50 shop is easy so getting £10 worth of free grub a fortnight is a no-brainer but as mentioned, I'm not sure if they'll dry up. Let's see if I still get one tomorrow
Report Aspro March 19, 2018 9:56 PM GMT
Yeah sparrow, possibly over certain limits
Report donny osmond March 19, 2018 9:59 PM GMT
yeah, we get lots of supplies whilst offers are on instore

pleased to hear their online service is good,
Report Aspro March 19, 2018 10:03 PM GMT
what amazed me the most was the sell-by dates. In store I struggle to get long term (especially on my Cajun chicken) but so far I've found good dates on all the deliveries
Report Aspro March 20, 2018 11:27 AM GMT
Just arrived and yet again nothing missing and another £10 voucher for my next shop. I will add that I have to do that shop on or before 03/04/18 (precisely two weeks) which is consistent with my needs.

Nothing missing? Not getting your online shopping from ASDA then!!!
Report Aspro March 20, 2018 5:51 PM GMT
lol ftb, I quit using them around a year ago; stock is the worst I've seen of any supermarket
Report TheBaron March 20, 2018 6:06 PM GMT
Having a "big shop" at one supermarket is so yesterday.  These days all the cool kids go to Aldi and Lidil etc.
Report howard March 20, 2018 6:16 PM GMT
you need a 20% voucher at sainsburys to level things up. Agree about online though. My shopping comes 35 miles ( £25+ spend £2 delivery )
Report everyone's a winner March 23, 2018 5:31 PM GMT
25% off, if you buy 6 bottles of wine or more. now that's value Grin
Report everyone's a winner March 23, 2018 7:02 PM GMT
drinking my way through the first 6 now, although i got mine in store, which is where i spotted the offer but it's valid online too. i'm considering 'topping up' my back of this offer with an online order to maximise the value, before the offer ends on april 2nd. in the meantime, please take any of my in play tips on the football with a pinch of salt, not to mention it's silly (international friendly) season gl Grin

Been using Sainsurys online for while, i get monthly shop from there...always very good like OP said with stuff well in date ... mostly everything comes only the occasional substitute...pity Nectar points are so **** nowadays .... only minor problem I have is the delivery guys occasionally coming a few minutes earlier than the slot...i chose that 1hr slot for a reason...i just make them wait outside if i'm not ready Grin

Adsa were a nightmare always loads of substitutes.

Sanisbury's  pay their staff a lot more so the people picking have more braincells than your average Asda minimum wage worker.
Report everyone's a winner March 23, 2018 7:45 PM GMT
sadly and somewhat ironically, i think pay levels are very similar between them all, so if you go too many substitutes, it's probably just lack of stock or different van loading (or recruitment) tactics. they're mostly all paying minimum wage, with the odd exception but that would be the wrong thread / forum for that sort of discussion Grin
Report Aspro March 23, 2018 7:47 PM GMT
A young lady in my local Co-op has just moved to their online services. On training she told me that they are REQUIRED to give the best dates available for online shoppers.

With regards to substitutions I decline them all but only once have I missed one (frozen prawns)
Report everyone's a winner March 23, 2018 7:54 PM GMT
i thought you mostly dined on cajun chicken Grin were the prawns for a gumbo?
Report Aspro March 23, 2018 8:07 PM GMT
You don't miss a trick EAW; I love my Cajun chicken and having it tomorrow evening with Parmentier potatoes (also from Sainsburys); prawns are a desktop munch when in the mood. Nice to have some in the freezer.

Just opened a bottle of Etienne, superb, a great deal

I had a nice rib eye steak with seasoned fries, tomatoes and mushrooms, very content
Report Charlie March 23, 2018 8:57 PM GMT
We're not posh enough to have a Sainsbury's where I live but Tesco do the same £30 (or maybe £35) delivery for Tues/Wed/Thur when you spend £40. A few bottles of wine and spirits soon sorts that out.
Report Deptford March 23, 2018 9:01 PM GMT
Charlie, its a right good deal, well worth stocking up
Report Charlie March 23, 2018 9:04 PM GMT
Fook me I've just realised this on football not chit chat Blush.

Report everyone's a winner March 23, 2018 10:22 PM GMT
there's a hint of aftertiming though as the OP had obviously sampled the cajun chicken previously. perhaps we should call it after-tasting Grin
Report Aspro March 23, 2018 11:06 PM GMT

Hurry up for the 25% off six bottles, not long left on the offer
Report DirkDiggler March 31, 2018 10:00 AM BST
Definitely a superior service to Tesco, who consistently missed things off and substituted.
