I’ve been away from here for a couple of years but always was intrigued by bankroll building challenges which all pretty much failed at some point but was fun to watch. I’ve started betting on under 0.5 goals at 10 mins. You would think this sounds easy and the odds vary from 1.13 to 1.30 which isn’t massive but after several bets you have doubled or tripled your bank. I’ve only managed to go from £1 to £10 a couple of times. I know it’s pennies for most here but you can upscale your stake.
It’s amazing how many times I bomb out on the first it second bet. I’m pretty sure the better brains would have more success.

1st bet Perugia in séria B £2 @ 1.22. Won bank £2.45
2) Bradford v Rotherham £2.45@ 1.18

A lot more difficult than the u6.5 challenge--Last night Luverdense scored in 1 min--you can't legislate for things like that-but GL.

" Goals " mkts at any point in game are minefield. No matter how strong a trend that you able to identify there is always one.

Good luck with that 78.

hi gasman,im brassneck, and its your lucky day for I am known for helping guys make fortunes at gambling. So I will give you a fool proof system that you can not lose but make sure you let the thread go down after I give you the secret of knowledge.
so now you  are about to get life changing knowledge  that will acquire you all the money you will ever need in your life.for a new home,a condo in spain a BMW car 2018 ,and thousands upon thousands in the bank.Remember it was brass that set you on your way so you can thank me later but make sure and let the thread sink as soon as I  give you the knowledge.
OK here goes."there is 90 minutes in a football match,a goal is not scored every 10 minutes ,so all you have to do is Martingale a quid every ten minutes and if you lose double up on the next ten minutes and continue until you get 10 minutes goal free and then trade out and start again.when you reach a few grand start trading every ten minutes for 10 quids or 20 quids a time.
now let your thread drop,Enjoy your life and don't forget it was old brass that give you the salmon of knowledge.Regards Brass.

Cheers Brass useful stuff there However it’s thanks to Martindale that I have to dig down the sides of the sofa, and search supermarket car parks for a spare Quid so I can rebuild my fortune and replace my caravan with a bedsit. I’m sure Brass you could do this in your sleep.

The high rollers pick a game and set boomerang bets off every single minute of the 90 mins once the get a passage of play of 10 minutes it all comes back,as they double up in rotation and spend the full 90 mins trading out in rotation and placing a new boomerang bet starting a small again to replace the trade out.(hope you can understand that,i confused myself also)Laugh

Interesting posts there chaps. I'm not familiar with the term " Martingale ". You're talking about simply doubling up until you've bought yourself a winning position. Right? I've thought about that. IN the goals mkts but often the game will reach a point where doubling up isn't an option. Either there is no mkt at all or the odds are so ridiculous. Tread very carefully here 78.
Report ericster November 8, 2017 11:00 AM GMT
Pick your games, pick your leagues, pick your countries, carefully. I'm sure we all know what I'm talking about.

It’s just a bit of fun and it’s quicker than the u6.5 goal thread where they are betting on odds of 1.03. Again it’s the simplicity of the idea, should be really easy as 90% or more  goals appear after 10 mins and in theory at prices between 1.14 and 1.30 increasing the bank should be quite fast ie £10 to an £100 in 15 to 20 bets. I see your point Brass but haven’t got time for that. Interesting the big clubs like Real, City Barcelona etc are available for 1.30 compared to say Burnley or Stoke 1.14 yet the stats superficially at least don’t seem to justify this difference in price.

So what's the idea 78? You bet no goal in the first ten minutes then get out?
Report ericster November 9, 2017 11:40 AM GMT
Would anyone care to expand upon the theory?
For instance;
You wouldn't bet against goals halfway through the second half in the Chinese I think.

Just killing time here.
Report gazman78 November 9, 2017 6:09 PM GMT
There is a market on bet 265 for result/ goals/ corners  on the 10th minute of the match. On Betfair you can lay 0.5goals market but after 10 minutes there can be very little movement ie 4% or 5% depending on who is playing. On average in the main leagues there is only 1 game where a goal is scored in the first 10 mins. Clearly some match weeks there are more and some weeks less. Very few teams will be involved in consecutive matches with goals in the first 10 mins. Which is why this should be a walk in a park but probability is a cruel mistress and enjoys nothing more than tripping us up. The attraction is with these odds and some skill ( which eludes me :) ) you can quickly build up decent profits after 7 or 8 bets.

There is the random element ie penalty/ red card/ dodgy referee decision but this is sport.
Report Charlie November 9, 2017 7:27 PM GMT
A question I would ask is why do you think you can beat the odds?
Report gazman78 November 9, 2017 7:40 PM GMT
History would suggest I can’t however if I was truly logical and sensible I would be putting the money aside in an ISA at least inflation would erode it more slowly than putting on systems like this.
Report Charlie November 9, 2017 8:06 PM GMT
Fair answer. Only ISA have is a stocks and shares one with Halifax which went up by over 10% last year. I don't think any of these simple systems work because you can't beat the odds. Why should you? I really think football is hard to crack.

I have gone from £1 to £10 a few times which is pennies I know and it’s possible to do, if that can be achieved then doing on a regular basis should be feasible barring the inevitable losing bets along the way. If every 3rd attempt is successful and you eventually upscale to £10 to £100. It could be a pleasant way to earn some pocket money. Besides I know more knowledgeable folk on here could make a better go at it. Plus being small odds on small stakes the bookies won’t be restricting your account when you win.

I have had similar thoughts to you and increased stakes thinking the same principles apply but ultimately the odds are accurate and no "system " can beat it. Knowledge doesn't really come into it, footballs a game of random chance and goal markets are the ultimate in luck, no one can predict when a goal is likely to come no matter how much research is done.

Report brassneck November 9, 2017 9:55 PM GMT
You still need a nine goal game(one every 10 minutes)to beat marti.
Report everyone's a winner November 9, 2017 9:58 PM GMT
I did this once upon a time too and, as is being suggested, I thought I was onto a complete winner for weeks. then lo and behold one Saturday at 3pm suddenly all the games I'd laid had a goal in the 10m slot. to the point where I was so incredulous I tried grumbling to BF around whether the goal was 9 mins or 10 mins depending on which live score site you were on. suffice to say they were right and I was wrong and just like everything else in this game you can't play it blindly if you hope to make money.

Its a group of traders from the city of London that have worked it out, they move from market to market(overs /unders market)as goals are scored .They launch bets every minute of the match,as one bet shows profit it is traded out as profit and a new bet is born to take its place.its based on the Martingale system and the anti Martingale system.its difficult to follow because it is computer programmed ,but a sharp mind can work it out and make a manual profit every time.
I seen it on you tube.but it was on a subject about financial professional traders using Martingale .Some guy who knows Martingale is a dangerous monster designed some system with a stop opt out clause using martingale when a stock is rising or falling.
He then discovered that on betfair it was easier to read the flow of the market .as I say its on you tube and its under Trading /Martingale or something like that.He explains it well ,so its worth searching for.

Hi Brass I appreciate all feedback positive or negative and I’ll look into the videos you suggested. Any system will ultimately work if you have Pockets deep enough that I do know. I also know whilst the laws of probability and the average apply, there are extreme swings at either end. So a league could go 3 match weeks without an early goal or several in the same match week. I’ve gambled with thousands of pounds in the past and what I’ve realised is I get just as much enjoyment winning £10 as a £1000. It’s getting that long shot, I can’t predict a winner in football but I’m pretty good at getting the draw. Small change bets people can mock on here but ultimately it’s a bit of fun.

I do like u0.5 goals in 10 mins because it’s a short space of time. It’s funny 95% of games have a goal in, yet you can get a cluster of nil nil and 1.11 over 90 mins seems quite short value compared to 1.16 for 10 mins. If your watching the game and your bets won on the 10th you can just relax and enjoy the game.
