I mentioned the lack of comments the other day when the televised London Derby between Spurs and West Ham attracted only 12 comments. However, the day after Barcelona played some team called Ginola or Gerona and received 61 comments. Maybe it's just Spanish people on here nowadays.

It doesn't help that threads are mostly broken which doesn't help attract comments on live games when you can't see comments until 10 minutes later. In tennis forum they solve this by going through .x volumes but in football forum that would clog up the entire forum with 5 threads on each topic until you get one that works.

Take away the fanboy threads and there is probably just a hardcore of 50 Billy Bunters who post regularly now.

IF PPBF had their wits about them, they'd realise that a properly functioning forum can actually drive exchange traffic (that would mean eradicating the delay in some posts appearing and allowing new members to sign up for the forum). 

For all that is bad about it, the drop-off in liquidity and the drop-off in forum posts appear to be correlated.
