Just caught the last 30 mins of this game and what a disgrace,Portimonense the minnows were leading 1 -0 when Benfica forward following minimal contact in the box blatently dives conning the ref into winning a penalty and to make matters worse defender is also sent off when it was not even a foul never mind a professional/deliberate foul that is now required for a red card, video ref does nothing about this and penalty is scored so now 1-1.
Benfica then go 2-1 up and then in the 90th minute the minnows equalise whereby guy receives the ball on the touchline and crosses ball into box and finished by striker, fair goal nobody complains about offside or anything and ref happy however video ref alerts ref that wide player was offside however upon TV replays it shows wide player is actually level with defender and maybe his foot only might be ahead of the defender  but it is far too marginal to call and disallow the goal but that is what happened, absolute disgrace and you guessed it the big boys win again and get all the decisions.

video ref on Benfica 2-1

the little guys were unlucky but the offside result was strictly correct. head, foot or body past the last defender counts as offside. i don't like the long delay in these decisions though. and the winning goal was a fluke. not complaining as i was relying on benfica win.

an arm isn't offside, a foot is.

Penalty + red card should automatically go to the VAR but the Portimonense players should have hassled the ref to make sure and if you look at the angle the ref had you can see how he got conned (2:32).

yep. the penalty is dodgy.

In my opinion marginal decisions on offside should not be overturned ie a leg or arm or neck is offside when say 90% of the body is level with the defender and onside, years ago you were offside if level with the defender and then they changed the rules for the better but what about the old adage the benefit of doubt goes with the attacker besides which these video review systems are only supposed to be used for clearly poor decisions by the ref.
This video review system was not designed for the video review ref to get in the ear of the on field ref to disallow goals like this,i had no bets on this game but it annoys me when the minnows are treated unfairly.

I didn,t see all the game but kept flicking over on that freesports TV,what made me laugh as Benfica scored the flucky 2nd goal was that the commentator obviously a Benfica fan was celebrating and laughing as that goal went in.Laugh

You just know that the video ref is going to be called into action to help Barca and/or Real in a Champions League final. As Stalin might have said: "It's not the people who referee that count, it's the people who monitor the video screen."

There was about 2 minutes between the 'goal' and it getting scrubbed off. I don't know what betfair's stance is on goals getting scrubbed off, nothing in the rules about suspending the market, they did suspend yesterday but it was too late the market had already swung dramatically. If I were a 1000 layer I would be very worried about getting caught again with little protection from betfair.

Don't worry about 1000 layers who are trying to lay impossible events. They make (steal) loads so giving a bit back is only fair.
Report clacherholiday2 September 9, 2017 1:16 PM BST
I hope that 27k they lost yesterday was the product of years work
Report blank September 9, 2017 1:54 PM BST
Ok forget the 1000 layer, what about someone laying Benfica at 3.5 or backing 2-2 at 1.6 after the market had reopened and the screen says 2-2 and is showing replays of the goal. Lots of people were betting based on it being 2-2, some got picked off from people with faster pics who knew the goal might be knocked off. I lost no money on this but very nearly backed the draw at 1.60ish before seeing the odds go up quickly and realising something wasn't right, would have been pi55ed if I did back it.
