None of them deserved to go up after serving up that rubbish. The entertainment is virtually non existent now but fans don't seem to care. I don't understand it. So many accept mediocrity and it's plain wrong.

Very nearly a good day out when Reading went 3-1 up on pens. Only Danny Williams played well today, Reading were far too negative. On the plus side i wont have to watch Reading getting tonked in the EPL next season.

The way Huddersfield ended the season you have to worry about them in the Premier League. The owners should just keep the same team and bank the money.

Christ I'm getting old I remember the last time that Huddersfield, with Frank Worthington,  were in the top flight.

Huddersfield didnt win a game in the playoffs and scored 1 goal.

Pens have to be scrapped and replace with golden goal. Much fairer that way.

Bill Shankly will be pleased today. He tried to get Huddersfield back into the top flight. He tried to persuade the Chairman to sign two young Scottish prospects, Ian St John and Ron **** but the money wasn't there. He moved to Liverpool and signed them having persuaded the board that they couldn't afford not to sign them. The rest is history.

Anyone know why a trophy was presented?Newcastle as champions i can understand,Brighton,to my knowledge did'nt get a trophy so why Huddersfield?

huddersfield deserved to win as they made all the running, reading played how they have all season, dull and negative, jesus christ you would have thought they were against  barcelona the way they set up.they got what they deserved nowt.....!!!!!

On the day deserved it,but finishing 5th with a minus 2 goal diff and not beating any team in the play offs is not the great feat it's made out to be.

They'll have to buy some half decent players, the wage bill will go through the roof and for what?

They were assured of a playoff place with half a dozen matches left so inevitably they took their foot off the gas.there are enough average teams in the prem for them to be competitive next season provided they strengthen the squad sensibly in the next few weeks,especially since they appear to have good scouting contacts on the continent.if they can snap up a few more bargains like schindler who cost less than £2m & has been the standout centre back in the championship then anythings possible without breaking the bank.
