It's what most forwards do, see a keeper flying out and make the most of it.
Keeper pulls out of it but at game speed with the crowd baying for blood a lot of officials give it. They needed a break like that. |

It is pathetic how because it's Rashford commentators refuse to call it a dive. If that had been a foreigner they'd get hammered.

It Rashford wants to dive then that's his right but the referee's job his to punish him and not give a penalty that he can only be guessing at.

This is why video replays are needed. Not for goals maybe as that kills moments, but for dangerous tackles or penalty decisions.

Not enough punishment to deter wrongdoing in the game. Defenders grabbing,shirt pulling,blocking with no intention to play the ball etc.,forwards diving.
Bring back obstruction rule and harsher penalties and we may rescue the game. |

In the ref's / linesman's mind they did see contact.
Without they slow-mo from behind the goal the majority on hear would think they were 100% correct. |
