Walcott punches Huddlestone, three yeards away from him. Yellow card.

Clattenburg ain't that bad and for the Goal\Handball....we that was just pure incompetence from the linesman....and from the replay I dont think his view was obstructed either!
Report Arsenal Oldie February 11, 2017 2:56 PM GMT
only deliberate handball is a foul.  therefore Sanchez goal no problem.
Report Arsenal Oldie February 11, 2017 2:56 PM GMT
should have been a red for Gibbs though
Report TENDY February 11, 2017 2:58 PM GMT
That rule is bollocks!

The goal only goes in after it his hand which not by the side of his body!!!

If the ball hits his hand after protecting his face then its given!

Rubbish.

Jeff Stelling said that after Clattenburg saw a replay of the goal he went to the Hull dressing room to apologise for letting it stand.

I'm sure that will console them when they're playing Scunthorpe next season

clattenbergs like the rest of english refs, an utter clown.ive been saying it for some time, we may have to import some capable refs.

walofs
Sounds to me as though the linesman and clattyburg were unsure so let it stand.
The onus here should be on the player.
Sanchez imo ought to get a 3 match ban and 2 weeks wages fine.
That would send out a message.
The refs have far too many decisions to make.
If a player handles the ball on the way to a goal being scored he needs to tell the ref.
If he doesnt then he gets the ban.
Its up to him which is more important, the ban or the goal.
There is far too much cheating in football as it stands. The players are allowed by the prevailing culture to behave like kindergarten bullies on a snickers bar high.
I remember a couple of years ago miroslav klose went up to head a ball for lazio and the ball went in off his hand. He told the ref.
Lazio lost 3-0 as i recall and no one pulled him up.
No fan of clatty but i cant put the blame on him for this one

2 goals in prem this weekend scored with hand/arm, ref/lino ,4th official not spot.
Report Johnny_Mustang February 13, 2017 8:55 AM GMT
Nothing to see here. Sanchez clearly could not move his arm out of the way and therefore the goal was good. Sir Thierry of Henry was also maligned for a similar incident with his goal against Ireland which as everyone knows was legitimate also.
Report morpteh mackem February 13, 2017 8:59 AM GMT
and as stated earlier on thread gibbs not sent off- bizarre
Report donny osmond February 13, 2017 10:34 AM GMT
3 goals was it not ? 2 allowed to stand

one arm was in a more natural position than the other two

hey ho, im sure an apology at half time made all the players
feel so much better about it.
Report Johnny_Mustang February 13, 2017 11:43 AM GMT
Hull are mugs so it wouldn't have mattered either way.
Report mincer11 February 13, 2017 1:12 PM GMT
Mustang you cretinous clown, how was Henry's goal against Ireland legitimate ?.
As everyone knows it wasnt legitimate, everyone except a numpty like yourself.
As for Hull being mugs and it wouldnt have mattered anyway, what a stupid statement.
Stick to boning halcyon days, it suits you better.
Report duncan idaho February 13, 2017 1:49 PM GMT
you can judge someone's intelligence solely by the amount they moan about refs
