"Aguero lost the plot. It's as bad a tackle as you will see - I can't ever remember seeing one as bad as that."
Alright, it was a bit naughty, but is Sutton that desperate for a media career that he needs to become football's answer to Katie Hopkins? Think Pedro Mendes might disagree with the above assessment.
Would it make anyone else's top 50 bad tackles in the last 15 years?
Aguero and Luiz got 'History' going back 3 years....must be an Argentine/Brazilian thinghttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2309289/Sergio-Aguero-ESCAPES-ban-horror-tackle-David-Luiz.html
Challah should have got a straight red for pushing Aguero to the ground. Raised hands and that started the mass brawl. Should be looking at 3 game ban but Ref was poor and in need of video help.

Many many worse tackles - won't even be the worst this season. Fab will get a ban as well - if not for the look back (to see what he was landing on) and dive over the hoardings then the slap in the face for Ferd that got him angry when he was trying to calm Fab down. Raised hand and all that.

Sutton was right to emphasise what an appalling tackle it was. Certainly deserved a 10 match ban. Disgusting. May not have been the worst ever but be surprised if you see one worse this season.

To all you youngsters on here. The worst tackle I've seen was Harald Schumacher on Patrick Battiston. 1982 World Cup Semi-Final https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGq7VcaHoqo Ref didn't even give a foul.

I know you're not advocating lengthy bans for the frankly horrific act of hand raising, but this is partly what has gone wrong with the game IMO. We now have people getting all hysterical when someone lifts their arms up. It's turned into a non contact sport, where more emphasis is placed on trying to get your opponent in trouble than actually playing. I used to love going to any football match; now I wouldn't bother going to watch a Premier League match unless it was laid on for nowt and there was a free bar involved.

Sutton going out of his way to be controversial. Souness and Keane committed far worse. But not as bad as this which was more of an assault than a tackle and almost ended a young players career.

disgraceful tackle by simpson obv but hey no worse than someone taking out a player first then trying to kill (John McMaster) with a stamp to the throat as he lay prone on the ground in his defence and I quote from Willie Johnston himself ''thought he was Willie Miller and deserved it''
Aguero tackle was bad but compared to the 70s and 80s might not even have been a sending off

You can hardly say the worst "foul" in history was committed by Schumacher's arse.
French players didn't complain at the decision at all.

sure his feet were off the ground but they never made any contact with the chelsea player. one leg going either side of luiz and luiz doing a lot of overacting, then aguerro gets a straight red because a chelsea player assaulted him and almost started a riot.
fabregas joins in and slaps a city player on the face and then we get another dose of overacting from fabregas to get another city player sent off for a small push.
disgusting behaviour by luiz and fabregas and they should both get retrospective bans.
